"It's not gonna work, Cinderella."
"How would you know? Nothing's impossible."
"I know my own cousin, Felicia. He's not gonna do that."
"Well, your cousin did that to my friend, in case you've forgotten."
Silence.
"That's different," argued Steve.
"I don't care. If he'd did it before, there's a high chance he'll do it again."
"Cinderella, I don't think this is a good idea - "
"Even if it isn't a good idea, I still have to try it. For me. And for Louise."
He ran his fingers through his hair, clearly frustrated.
"I have no idea how you managed to persuade me into doing this with you," he said.
"Cause you love me too much," I smirked.
He sighed in defeat. "I can't beat you, Cinderella. If this plan doesn't work, it's your fault, okay?"
"If Plan A doesn't work, there are 25 more alphabets. Stay cool."
[ 10 mins ago ]
"Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked.
"Damnit, Felicia! That's the 26th time you're asking that!" Steve groaned.
"Woah, okay. Don't get your knickers in a knot."
Steve rolled his eyes.
Ignoring that, I said, "Okay, here's how the plan will go."
"Firstly, find out when Damien and Andy Bitch are going to make - "
I was cut off by Steve's laughter. "So you call her Andy too? And I thought I was the only one!"
"Yeah, cause I can't remember her name and - wait what? We're not supposed to be discussing this!" I glared at Steve.
"So as I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, we're going have to find out when Damien and Andy are going to get a room and satisfy their stupid needs, barge into the room, get some shots, send them to the discipline mistress. Understood?"
"So what am I supposed to do?" asked Steve.
"I need you to find out when they're gonna do it. Presumably at a party or something. Is there a party coming up?" I asked.
Steve considered this question for a few moments before answering, "Yeah, my pal Ray is hosting a party next week. Damien will be there for sure. With Andrea."
I stared at him in shock and disbelief. "What? I know I'm hot, don't need to gawk at me like that," said Steve.
"You... you actually remembered Andy's name!" I gasped.
"Erm... did I?"
"Yeah, you said 'Damien will be there for sure. With ANDREA.' "
(I totally bet you guys went back to check if it's true.)
Steve looked at me with astonishment on his face. "Oh my gosh I managed to remember her name! I'm so proud of myself! Heh, after all, I AM the Steve Collins," he said.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Ego check, big boy," I warned him.
"Cinderella, like I said, it's called 'high self esteem'."
"Yeah, it's as high as the Eiffel Tower." I said sarcastically.
Steve sighed dramatically.
And that's where we were before Steve wanted to chicken out.
~~~~~
-Steve-
"I don't know how you managed to persuade me to do this."
"Cause I'm awesome. Isn't that obvious?"
I looked at her intently, checking every part of her out. I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, but now that I think about it, you're not as awesome as you said you were," I teased.
"Tsk tsk, Steve. Haven't you heard of the book 'The Little Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry? It says 'It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.' "
I rolled my eyes. I had no idea what she was talking about. "Nerd," I said.
"That's my book for literature," she argued.
I smirked. "Yeah, whatever you say, Cinderella. I'm bored, let's go to the music room," I suggested.
"Okay," she smiled.
Did I mention how absolutely captivating her blue eyes are when she smiles? That twinkle in her eyes... It was like a star shining brightly in the night sky.
~~~~
We were in the music room when I said, "Hey Cinderella, since I was the one playing for you the other time, it's your turn to play for me."
Felicia looked at me smiling, with that twinkle shining in her sky blue eyes again. She nodded. Sitting at the piano with her body poised, she started playing a melody.
I didn't know what melody it was, and I didn't care either. All I was concentrating on was the angel before me.
I closed my eyes and listened to the music as her fingers danced on the keyboard. Her gaze, so breathtakingly beautiful, was focused on the black and white keys as she created that beautiful, melodious tune.
Now I knew what she meant.
'It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.'
What my heart was seeing now, wasn't her outer appearance, but her inner beauty. I smiled and closed my eyes, enjoying the melody.
What was this feeling? Why do I feel self conscious around her? Why do I treat her differently from other girls?
I... don't know.
