I was on my way to Kam's house to meet up with him and talk. It had been a while since me and him chilled together alone. After Nobi confronted me about my meeting with Mel I knew it wouldn't be long before someone told Kamden so I was going to tell him first.

Pulling into his driveway I noticed Key's Volks Wagon beetle parked on the side and I rolled my eyes.

Don't get me wrong I liked her I just didn't like how close she'd gotten to my Kam.

Stepping out the car I walked to the door. Before I could knock it opened as Kam lead Key out giving her a tight hug as they cackled together.

I cleared my throat causing them to look up and break their embrace.

"Watsup Ari?" Kam nodded towards me.

"Hey Aria girl." Key smiled at me.

"Hey." I said dryly.

She looked at me for a second as if she was contemplating saying something before shaking it off turning to Kamden.

"I'm gonna go Kam. Call me when you get the chance ok?" He nodded kissing her cheek as he watched her walk away.

I scoffed.

"The fuck is yo problem? You been on some real shady shit lately and honestly I ain't feeling yo vibe ma." He spat out causing me to jump at the base in his voice.

Moving to the side he opened the door wider. "You gone come in and talk or stand here wit yo rude ass?"

I stepped into the house walking towards the living room and he soon followed behind me.

Sitting on the reclaimer as I took a seat on the love seat he gave me his full attention.

"You cut my date short talkin bout you wanted to talk then you be rude to my gal for no reason now you wanna sit here quiet." He chuckled pulling his chin hair. "What you wanted to tell me?"

Finally finding my voice I spoke up.

"I just wanted to thank you again for being here for me and protecting me like you do and-"

"You know what it is you ain't gotta thank me for that Ari. Wats really up?"

"Well umm I came to tell that I saw Melvin at his house the other day he said he wanted to apologize and his parents monitored the whole thing."

I had my head down as I spoke and I finally looked up to see his expression. He had the same bored expression on his face.

"Yea I heard. Just ain't think you was that dumb to fall for the shit honestly but hey do yo thang Ari. We done here?" He was now annoyed and I could tell regretting my whole decision to even come.

"No it's. I umm-"

"Get to the point Aria."

"Well Kam you've always been that source of comfort for me and my sense of protection and I always thought maybe just maybe you'd see me as more than just a friend." I bit my lip nervously.

"Wow! Are you serious right now?"

"Yes. I like you I always have but you and Nobi always had a closer bond and now Key just comes into the picture and you jump to make her your girlfriend!" I yelled.

"Lower yo voice you trippin man. How you gone come in here with that bullshit Aria." He laughed. "Nope, I'm not about to do it. We not gone do this. You need to go."

"Kam please I just-"

"Yo gotta bounce Ari." He gritted out.

I could feel the tears brewing as I grabbed my purse getting up from my seat. I glanced at him but he wouldn't even look my way.
