Sitting on my bed I fanned my toes letting the nail polish that I'd just applied dry. I held my phone up to my ear using my shoulder. Aria was updating me on the latest drama in her life. Since her and Jared started their little fling she was rarely home anymore and when she was here I wasn't. It was like we had to make appointments for each other now.

"So wait let me get this straight. His mama flipped out on you all disrespectful then apologized like it was nothing?"

"Yep and you know my mouth I couldn't hold my tongue any longer I had to be petty. Everybody get it mamas too and mama in laws."

"Bitchhhhhhhh, what the hell did you say Ari? You know what don't tell me cuz I can only imagine."

Aria was very outspoken so I was sure she gave Jared's mother a good piece of her mind. In this case I didn't blame her his mother was out of pocket.

"It wasn't even me that went off. Jared was in there letting her have it. I was like yes go baby take up for me."

"Right. Special clown mama alert please."

"My husband is my job please."

"What is a paycheck please?"

"New mama where you at please?"

"Stomp her to hell pls."

"Damnit Nobi too far. I'm crying." 

Before I could continue my foolishness with Aria my room door flew open and Kam stormed in dropping his things. He didn't say anything to me as he grabbed his towel that hung across my closet door and made his way into the bathroom. He wore his work uniform so I was sure that he'd just gotten off.

"Umm Ari sis let me call you back. This nigga done lost his shits." Chuckling she said her goodbyes and we both disconnected the call.

Sitting on my bed with my now dry toes. I crossed my arms waiting for him to come out. It was clear that he was upset but that didn't mean he had to be rude to me in the process I hadn't done anything to him. After sitting like that for fifteen minutes and no sign of him coming out once I heard the shower start I grabbed the book I was previously reading from my nightstand.  That Karrine Steffans was something else in this Confessions of a Video Vixen book. There wasn't a chapter in here were she wasn't sucking dick and having joy.

I was only three chapters in from where I'd stopped before Kam exited the bathroom. He towel dried his hair while another towel hung loosely around his waist. Finishing up the chapter I was reading I marked my spot before putting the book down. I watched him as he shuffled through his bag for something to put on. Settling on basketball shorts he grabbed them before going back into the restroom and shutting the door. He never uttered a word through this process.

I refused to be ignored in my own house this attitude of his was really blowing my good mood I had. Getting up I walked to the restroom twisting the knob. I expected it to be locked but it wasn't. I let myself in. "You really give me headaches sometimes." He continued brushing his teeth as he watched me through the mirror. He mumbled something inaudible before spitting and finding his mouth.
