Zenobia and I were currently at this little pizza spot for lunch. She was all in her phone and ignoring me and shit.

"If you was gone be all yo phone we coulda took the pizza to go. I coulda went to practice."

"I'm sorry. Beyoncé just dropped a new video and it's just... Here look!" She shoved the phone in my face. She moved her seat from across from me to right on the side of me.

I watched the whole video as she cheesed and sang every word like she didn't just learn the song a second ago.

"Life right?" She cheesed. I simply nodded my head.

"Kam please that dry ass head nod that was great as fuck babe."

"It was I agree. Bey fine as hell and she got a nice ass." I sipped my drink.

"Just like a nigga to ignore the message to focus on ass. I want out! I want out of this relationship!" I laughed grabbing her playfully biting her cheek.

"Stop that ain't no out. I got the message the whole video was dope. But look I ain't spent time wit my baby in 2 weeks. This the first time we got to actually be with each other with how crazy our schedules been and I ain't tryna spend it worrying about the queen." She nodded.

"At least you know she queen though." She mumbled.

"Anyways, you coming to my game Friday?"

"Yes Kam when have I ever missed a game?"

"Never but I was just asking. You been doing all this extra stuff around school and you just got yo job, I'm proud of you by the way. I just was asking baby."

She had volunteered to do some tutoring and school tours so after school she'd been busy. Plus her mama got her on at some boutique working the weekends. I couldn't complain though because I'd been practicing everyday with the team like a dog trying to make it to the championship.

Basketball was all a nigga had to get where he needed to be and I wasn't letting nothing come between my education and my paper. My little job at finish line wasn't gone get me where I needed to be so I couldn't get myself off track from the goal.

"I know. I promise we'll have a real date soon babe. And with Valentine's Day coming up I'm sure we'll have time for each other."

"True. So what you want for Valentine's Day anyway?"

"This would be my first with a real boyfriend." I chuckled because it was true.

Aria always had a man during Valentine's Day so I never had to worry about her. Nobi on the other hand I always brought her something just so she wouldn't feel left out.

"Remember those gifts you got from yo secret admirer every year?" She nodded.

"Yes he would always buy me a bear with chocolates and one year he got me that charm bracelet I cried because I didn't know who it was sending me those gifts. I wanted to thank him." She looked off as she thought about it.

"You welcome."

"Huh?" She said not catching on.

"You welcome ma." I said leaning back in my chair stretching out my legs and closing my eyes.

"Wow. You just been great this whole time and I didn't even know. I stayed saying how if I met him I would marry him and you just acted like you had no clue. I hate you." I chuckled.

"I'm sorry baby."

I felt her sit on my lap wrapping her arms around my neck. She placed small kisses on my nose before pecking my lips repeatedly.
