I was avoiding my mama because I honestly wasn't ready to talk yet. Knowing my temper I'd blow up on her again and I didn't want that. So I was keeping myself busy. I'd been working out in the gym and practicing my shots and shit just being great honestly.

I was currently on my way to the movies with Zenobia. She had been bugging me about going to the movies before school started back up Monday. Me being a real nigga I decided to take her. I was honestly tired of all the hints she kept dropping. You know it's been forever since I been to the movies. Sure would be nice to see a movie. The movies probably ain't the same no more but I wouldn't know. The damn girl was so dramatic sometimes.

We pulled up to the movie theatre. Getting out the car I stepped around opening her door for her. The weather did a whole 360 on us. It went from blazing hot to nigga put on a jacket it's cold in a matter of seconds. Luckily we were prepared. Wasn't gone catch us slipping.

Locking hands with her we made our way to the ticket booth outside. It was a pretty decent amount of people up here so we had to wait in line for a little bit but not too long. Finally making our way to the window I skimmed over the movie showings before focusing my attention on Zenobia. The woman behind the booth greeted us. After a couple seconds Zenobia looked up at me giving me the same 'Well shit' face.

"What you tryna see man?" She bit her lip looking at the showings yet again.

"It ain't gone change ma. As much as you begged to come here you shoulda already been prepared. You slacking baby girl." I shook my head at her causing her to roll her eyes and the lady behind the booth to chuckle.

"Don't laugh at him. He's ignorant. Let us get two tickets to umm..." She tapped her chin looking at the screen.

"Man."

"Hush this is hard. Romantic comedy or action?"

"A movie would be nice Nobi."

"I'm sorry mam give us a second."

"Take your time." She smiled politely.

"Fuck this you taking forever in a day to pick one movie." Walking back to the booth I pulled out a twenty placing it on the counter. "Yes mam let me get two tickets for The Haunting."

"Hell no we not."

"Be quiet yes we is."

"Kam no I don't like scary."

"I do." Rolling her eyes she crossed her arms pouting as I finished paying for the tickets.

"Come on cry baby it ain't even gone be scary watch." I kissed her cheek wrapping my arms around her from behind as she walked in front of me.

"Yea sure it better not be." She mumbled as the lady tore our tickets.

"You guys are in 15 to the left on that side. Enjoy the movie and thank you for visiting amc." We both nodded.

Walking straight past the high as concession stands we made our way into the movie. We had a good ten minutes before it started. Finding some good seat not to close but not too far we sat in. The middle. Getting comfortable we both got situated in our seats.

Zenobia had her phone out watching snaps and I was watching the little commercials that came on before the trailers. The shit was pretty interesting.

"You got the snacks and stuff in yo purse?" I said a little too loud making her scrunch up her face.

"Well tell everybody why dontcha and yes Kam I do."
