I'd moved from Chicago to Houston and then all the way up to New York. My mom was still living in Houston while I was staying with my aunt who lived up here. She didn't have a husband or any kids so it was basically just me since she worked like a slave doing her fashion designing. Another plus about living with her. I could go with her on some of her calls and meet people in the industry.

Modeling was something I seriously wanted to get into so this modeling school opportunity was really a gift. I hated to leave the friends I'd made behind along with my mother but I knew I needed to do this. How can you pass up on New York? It's New York.

I was currently at my vanity touching up my makeup. It was Friday and I only had to make it through one more day of school before the weekend.

"Hey Hun. I have to run a little early this morning there's this really big client and she's picky about detail so wish me luck." My aunt poked her head into the room I was now occupying during my stay here.

"Break a leg or two or don't break any legs at all. Good luck Aunt Linda." I smiled. She soon left out the room and I finished up my makeup.

Grabbing my things I left the apartment making sure to lock up. Popping my head phones in my ear I made my way towards the school. It was about a ten minute walk from where I lived so I didn't mind. Gave me time to think or in my case over think.

As I was walking someone pulled up along side of me. The driver rolled down the passenger window before speaking.

"Why ya ain't call me back las' night?"

"I fell asleep."

"Das not a good enough excuse ma. Get in lemme give ya a ride."

Getting into the car I smiled looking up at him.

"Thank you
