School had been pretty dry. It's been almost a month since they discovered Melvin's suicide and everybody was just numb to the fact. We all attended the funeral and the shit was just depressing. Aria delivered a powerful speech that had the whole room in tears. I was proud of her. She spoke on what her and Melvin went through and then went on to saying she forgave him. I won't lie I shed a couple real nigga tears.
After everything that happened she was finally almost back to her old self. She was crying a lot less and smiling more. The cast was off her leg and I'm sure she was excited about that.
It was now spring break smack dab in the middle of March and the carnival was here. That's one thing you don't miss when it comes and that's the carnival. I'd planned to take both Zenobia and Ari as I did every year and this year Jared was tagging along.
I was currently in the restroom examining how much my hair has grown. Keyarii didn't believe that I could put my shit in buns and all that now. She said she hadn't been gone that long and there was no way my hair had grew out that much.

Not too long after sending the picture my phone was ringing.
"What's goodie?"
"Boy take that wig off."
"Girl this is my real hair." I chuckled.
"I don't believe you I just can't believe it. Your hair is growing faster than mine and your curls on fleek like what the fuck is life?"
"I just got a good grade of hair man."
"Tell me your secrets or I want out of this friendship Kamden!"
"Chill out. I was born this way ma that's it. It's spring break key where you at? You lied to us dawg."
"I apologize I tried to make it so I can see y'all. With everything going on y'all deserve to have joy by seeing my face. I guess y'alls joy will just have to be postponed until the summer."
"Heh wow you think you know someone. I'm leaving this conversation. It was nice knowing you key."
"Wait Kam come back. Tell me how to get a poppin twist out before you go."
"Man bye." I chuckled before hanging up.
Shaking my head at her crazy ass I exited the bathroom grabbing my keys and heading to the reliant stadium where the carnival was held. The others should have already been there waiting on me.
When I arrived I went to the ticket booth where they said they'd be waiting. Looking around at all the different people I didn't see any of them. Just as I was going to grab my phone someone jumped on my back.
