"Ariana please stop all that damn whining baby you bout to piss me off." Melvin said through clenched teeth. As he kept his eyes focused on the road.

He and Aria were on their way to school. It was her birthday and she was overly excited causing her to ramble.

It was mid December but the sun was shining as if it was July. Houston had the craziest weather. To say Christmas was approaching you'd think it was time to pull out the BBQ pit.

Aria had been staying with him for the past couple months. Avoiding going home all together. As far as her mom was concerned she didn't care she was too much of a hassle on them anyway.

She'd started working at Starbucks and things were getting better. She'd also taken the time out to talk to the schools guidance counselor which was helping her out a lot. Convincing her to talk to Nobi and Kam again when she was ready. She took this into consideration because she missed them dearly and realized her actions were the cause of the situation she was in. There was no one to blame but herself.

"I'm sorry babe I'm just excited. You think they'll remember or even speak to me today?" She bit her lip getting emotional just thinking about her old friends.

"Don't know don't care and you shouldn't either. Fuck them. And that bitch Kam can eat a dick along with that stuck up bitch."

"Wow. Tell me how you really feel." She stated sarcastically rolling my eyes.

"I just did."

"Forget I said anything."

"Nah. How Ima forget when you stay bringing the shit up. Am I not doing enough Ariana?! All you do is sit in my face and bitch and complain about them when I'm taking care of yo ass!"

"I told you to stop calling me that I don't like that name. And I'm sorry okay. I do appreciate you Mel I do." She tried grabbing his hand only for him to snatch it away.

Mel knew a little about her home situation but Aria made sure to leave out some details. Some things she just wasn't comfortable sharing and wished she could forget. Her dad would call her Ariana and everyone else shortened it. When he passed she simply went by Aria or Ari.

"Yea wateva. Get out."

"What?"

"Get out the fucking car! Walk the rest of the way! You den pissed me off and I'm trying not to choke yo simple ass out!" He spat.

She could feel herself wanting to cry as she swallowed the lump in her throat, but she wasnt knew to this behavior at all. Sucking in her bottom lip she grabbed her bag undoing the seat belt.

"Hurry the fuck up!" He barked.

Opening the door he pushed her out the car 3 blocks away from the school. He tossed her happy birthday balloons out along with the cake. He sped off like a bat out of hell.

Trying to pick the things up they continued to fall out of her hands. Dropping to the ground with them she began to cry. She'd left one miserable situation and moved to the next.

Key was on her way to school. She was meeting up with Kam and Nobi when she got there.

Passing by the local park by the school she spotted what looked to be Aria having a hard time.

She thought about passing her up and continuing on her merry way. She'd heard everything Aria had said about her and she didn't understand why she hated her so much and she's done nothing wrong.
