I stare at the rain.
Everything seems black and white.
Everything's the same.
I just wanna take flight
Go somewhere much more vivid.
But it's not the world.
It's me.
I run a hand through my curls.

I wish I new what it was.
I watch 2 rain drops running rapidly down the window.
I wish I had someone to run rapidly down the street with.
Someone to make me lift.
I wanna see colors.
See the color of worry in my mothers.
This is a destroyed way of living.
No not blind.
Wish I could press rewind.
To that day he left.
Setting me on a heartbreak quest.
I'm still in this cafe.
Why am I here, when I wanna lay;
Peacefully.
Me my own bully.
That's when I see you.
Your eyes trained to me like glue.
I see a beautiful color in your eyes.
If only you would come closer.
"It's not normal for me to spot cute guys."
Is what I hear.
Oh god, your near.
I look up, and blush.
Found a new crush.
"It's not normal for me to talk to one."
I retort back.
You smile, but your eyes lack.
We talk for ages.
But it seems we are both in cages.
You walk away, but smile back at me.
I finally feel free.
Free of that colorblind metaphor.
I walk out the cafe door.
Warm spreads through me as I see you outside the cafe.
You still have your latte.
"Remember when I told you I don't have any favorite colors?"
You ask me.
My heart flutters.
I nod wordlessly.
"I think I've found it."
You come near,
To the point I can see the lines of your sweater that was knit.
You kiss my cheek and turn around.
But before that you slip a piece of paper to me.
Without a sound.
It's your number
I smile, a toothy smile and look around.
I see a whole bunch of different colors.
It's overwhelming.
That night I sleep a deep slumber.
That night, I sleep a dreamful vivid slumber.
