[Dustin's P.OV]

I awoke, to find myself still on the metal operating table, still bruised, battered, scarred, and in my underwear. Geez, would someone please get me some clothes, I'm freezing.

I turned towards where Carol was sleeping. She was probably exhausted from what I've put her through. She should sleep.

I looked at a clock that was across the room, it was nine o'clock A.M. How long did Carol go without sleeping? It must have been at least two days. That's a seriously long time.

I'd wait until Carol woke up.

[Angela's P.O.V]

It was nine o'clock when I awoke. I hope Dustin's okay. I know that I saw him yesterday, but I just hope that he didn't try to kill himself.

Connor was still next to me, nestled up against my shoulder, he's cute when he's sleeping, but that's just my opinion.

9:30 A.M

Connor finally awoke, but I couldn't blame him for sleeping in, he needs his sleep otherwise he'll be grumpy if he doesn't.

The doctor who had taken our blood samples yesterday walked up to us and said, "Hello Angela, hello Connor so we got your blood samples back from the laboratory. Good news, you all don't have what Dustin has. So, that's a plus." Ted said.

"Good, can we see Dustin please?" I asked.

"Sure. Follow me." Ted said, gesturing for us to follow.

We walked into the Operating Room, Dustin was awake, and he smiled at me, and I smiled back, ear to ear. "Hey Dustin, how are you feeling?" I asked.

"Not the best and not the worst, I just hope this gets out of my system, and doesn't turn into some type of epidemic." Dustin answered.

"Well, we learned that we don't have the virus or whatever it is, which is a good thing. I wanted to know, did you know what you were doing when all this happened?" I asked.

"I did, until, I heard dad yell, then I didn't, everything was foggy, all I heard was voices, and felt a heck of a lot of pain." Dustin answered.

"What was it like?" Ted asked.

"Painful. Let me explain how this all went down. So, I went upstairs to get something, what it was, I don't remember. I had moved the door a bit to give me a bit of privacy, and then I got really angry, something I'd never felt before, I lashed out, at nothing, and then started attacking myself. I fell back onto the bed, trying to defeat myself, so to speak. I didn't say a word, I didn't scream, I just attacked myself. It felt like there was something in my chest, and I had to get it out, so my fingers dug into my skin, and scratched like a rabid animal, scratched like there was no tomorrow. Blood, started soaking my torn up shirt, but I didn't stop, I just didn't stop, didn't stop, didn't stop, didn't stop. Then I couldn't take the pain anymore, everything got shiny, I couldn't really see anything, I just heard voices, and felt the pain." Dustin answered.

"Sorry if you didn't want to talk about it. I didn't mean to force it on you." Ted explained.

"That's alright, I'm sure that you might have needed that for your diagnosis sheet or whatever it's called." Dustin smiled.

"Carol, if the nano-virus causes lowered happiness hormones, why is Dustin smiling, and have a happy demeanor?" I asked.

Carol looked up at Dustin. "I don't know Angela, do you think it's ov-?"

"Shhhhhh, don't jinx it." I scolded.

"Sorry." Carol pouted.

"That's alright." I smiled.

Time passed by really fast, we had a great conversation, and ate some lovely hospital cafeteria food, and before we knew it we were laughing, and smiling, and awestruck that Dustin wasn't attacking himself, or being extremely angry.

Before we knew it, it was ten o'clock p.m, and me and Connor went back to the waiting room and slept. I'm sure Carol, Ted, and Dustin fell asleep just about when we left, they seriously need some sleep.
