[Angela's P.O.V]

A week has gone by since Ted, David, and I have been tested. We should be getting our results back today. Hopefully we'll have the answers to why we are immune to the disease. Hopefully we'll have a cure figured out soon.

The three of us walked into Dr. Noah's office, eager to find out the reason as to why we are immune. We took a seat in front of his desk and he smiled warmly at us. "I'm sure you three are eager to find out the reason as to why you are immune?" He asked.

"Yes, we are very eager." I responded for the three of us.

"Alright." Dr. Noah said, clapping his hands and rubbing them together. "You three are immune because there is apparently a special protein in your DNA that is so incredibly rare that nobody has really brought notice to it because people didn't know what it was for. That is until now. We're currently trying to implement the protein into a cure. Once we do and the cure is stable, we can send it out around the world."

"That's amazing." Ted exclaimed.

It really was amazing, to think that this is why we are immune. One simple protein, which actually isn't very simple. That's the reason we are immune, and few to none have it. Society will pretty much be brought to its knees if we don't create the cure for Bloody Mary as soon as possible. The rarity of this protein makes it extremely necessary to have a cure for this disease for everyone who doesn't have the protein. Lives will be saved because of our special protein.

"Yes. It is very amazing. Hopefully there will be a cure very soon." Dr. Noah responded joyfully.

A woman hastily knocked on the door behind us, and we all turned around to look at her. "Dr. Noah sir, you need to come and see this."

"Okay. Guys I'll be right back." Dr. Noah exclaimed. He stood up hastily and followed the woman into lab.

"What do you think is going on?" I asked.

"Going for the worst scenario, someone got infected. The best scenario is that they figured out a cure." Ted responded.

"Well." I smiled, "Let's hope that it's that they found a cure, and not that someone got infected." If they figured out a cure that would be great. If it's stable, that's even better. If we get it to the public, that's even better than better. That's spectacular.

After a small time sat there pondering about what had happened Dr. Noah came back into the room. He had a huge grin on his face and looked as though he had a huge secret to tell. "Guys, they figured out a cure, and they're currently working on an aerosol spray, and a vaccination for the disease." He cheered.

We all stood up and cheered as though we were teenagers getting a new car for Christmas. It was unbelievable that they had created a cure. I'm amazed, since the few weeks that had gone by ever since the disease started, it'll be finished within the next week. This is amazing.

"That is awesome Dr. Noah. Do you know when it should be ready to be sent out?" I asked, after we stopped cheering and settled down.

"Well," He started, "It should be ready in just a few days. They have to put the cure in a bunch of large canisters that can be put on the bottom of a plane, and then they just have to spray it all over like insect repellent."

"Okay." I replied.

--

As time went by we sat in the office, not really moving except to go to the bathroom. We didn't want to miss any information about how the cure was coming along. They have to be close to having the canisters ready. Once they are ready they can get them on the planes and start distributing the aerosol spray. It's too dangerous to distribute vaccines because of the infected's bipolar attitudes. The research center wants to make sure that the few remaining people that are immune stay clear of the infected for their safety.

Dr. Noah has been in and out of this room many times the past few house. I don't know much about what's happening behind the scenes in the lab, but I'm sure it's good things that are happening behind the scenes. At that moment he walked into the room and announced something. "Alright the canisters are ready."

Ted, David, and I smiled brightly at the good news. "That's great." Ted exclaimed.

"Yes it is. We're getting the canisters to the jets right now as we speak." Dr. Noah informed. He looked quite pleased. Soon all of the hard work that the research center had put into it, the cure will be saving the world in just a few hours. The excitement was electric and we couldn't believe that we weren't shocking each other trying to contain it.

Soon this would all come to an end and we could get back to some normalcy.

--

The silver canisters labeled with a biohazard symbol, and a large sticker, that said NV-DUS-1 CURE (Aerosol), were bolted securely to the bottom of five large Boeing 747s, and it was ready for them to take-off and distribute the cure.

This cure will save the world. Ted, David, the new people, and I got onto one of the planes. We buckled up and the plane soon began to taxi down the runway. Then it tilted towards the heavens and we were in the air. The cure will be a welcome relief to the world.

Hopefully nothing will go wrong distributing it.
