[Angela's P.O.V]
I woke up this morning, finally back in my own bed. Connor was still asleep next to me. He's probably extremely tired from the gravity of our son's situation.
I took a shower, and once I was done, I went to the kitchen and started to make eggs and toast. I think Connor would enjoy that.
Once I was done and the aroma of eggs and toast filled the entire house, I placed the plates on the table, and prepared a couple of glasses of orange juice for us.
I heard footsteps and saw that Connor was walking into the kitchen. "Hey Connor, how are you today?" I asked.
"I'm great, and you?" He smiled.
"Good. Sit down, enjoy your breakfast." I smiled, sitting down, and starting to eat.
He sat down across from me and started to eat.
The TV was on and what I was seeing surprised me. It was the same city as where the hospital was, and the streets were filled with tons of bloody, screaming, angry people.
Dayum! This disease is spreading like wild fire.
"Welcome back to this breaking news story in Morgansville, North Carolina. This is Alex Monroe reporting live from our News Chopper. The disease designated as Bloody Mary has seen a huge spike in infected people. The city is in quarantine, and nobody is allowed to leave, and nobody is allowed in. We advise everyone in the city to not leave their houses for their own safety. We are not even allowed to leave. It's a mind-boggling thing, to think that we can't leave the city. Now, recently we spoke to a nurse at the local hospital named Carol....."
"Connor, he said Carol, he talked to Carol! Oh my gosh." I bellowed.
"Yep." He responded.
"She said that the disease has reached well over two hundred infected people in the city, and now, the city is in quarantine, the hospital is in Code Once Emergency status. They are overwhelmed by the number of infected humans." Alex Monroe continued.
"Great." I mumbled sarcastically. "Connor, we need to tell her about us." I spoke up.
"You heard Alex, he said-."
"I don't give a rat's rear end, we need to tell her about us, it might help them with the cure." I butted in.
"Yeah, but......"
"Connor! We know that we are immune to the disease for some reason, it might help them to develop a cure." I exclaimed.
"Fine." He caved. "We'll go."
We finished our breakfast, and put the plates in the sink. Then we got into Connor's Aston Martin DB12, and set off to the quarantined city of Morgansville.
This would be very interesting.
A while later we were on the outskirts of the city. They had it barricaded off with The National Guard vehicles, posts, and humans, who were wearing a light crimson red protective uniform.
We were awestruck, that this happened in only about a week or so. We didn't know that something could spread so quickly, and it will continue like a runaway freight train.
We pulled up to the gates that were so tall they seemed to be giants standing guard.
A guard signaled for us to stop and roll down our window. He lowered his head to the window. "We're sorry, nobody is allowed in, you're going to have to turn back."
