"Frankie, wake up," Gerard nudged him.

"Mmm?"

"Wake up, it's Christmas."

Frank opened his eyes. "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas Sunshine. Sleep well?"

"I did actually."

"Not even a nightmare?"

"Just a dream."

"What was the dream about?" Gerard asked.

"Nothing."

"Tell me."

"Let's just say it was the most wonderful dream I have ever had."

"That's good. Try to get some sleep. The holidays are always tireding," he patted his back. He climbed down to the floor and untucked his covers.

"Mmm. Doesn't smell like peppermint anymore," Frank whined, still half asleep. "You ate a lot. A lot!"

"And cookies. So many cookies."

"There's still crumbs in my bed from the ones you smuggled."

"The shit's good," Gerard defended.

"Milk is good. Good 'ol milk."

"Speaking of milk, it's your turn to feed Andy today. I think we should rename it Ryden by the way."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Go to sleep."

"Okay." Frank folded his white pillow and latched onto it.

Gerard knew the pillow acted as a replacement to himself. He liked that. He liked knowing Frank ached for him. That Frank needed him. He liked having that control over him.

Frank having dependent personality disorder, and knowing that dropping him at any moment could break him, gave Gerard an adrenaline rush. He could play with that. He could string out his emotions. But not breaking him. He couldn't break him. He loved him. More than Mikey.

"Hey Sunshine," Gerard greeted as Frank sat down.

"Hey. Do you wanna share pancakes?"

Gerard nodded. "Wait, why?"

"I like sharing things with people I'm close with."

"As "people" you mean "person."

"Well yeah, but when my sister was born, I hated being separated from her. And there was this one guy, who wasn't my friend, but let me hang with him all the time."

"A bit weird, but okay. You never told me about that guy."

"I'll tell you some other time?"

"Okay. But you have to promise."

"I promise Gee."

"I only nag you because I care about you," Gerard reminded him.

"I know. And thank you."

"No problem, Sunshine."

"So, after this we open up presents?" Frank asked.

"Yep."

"Well I'm guessing everyone here is Christian then."

"A couple atheists, but other than that, Christians."

"Do you believe in God?"

"Yeah. You?"

"Yeah. But I think he could be doing a better job."
