"Ugh."
"He's okay."
"It's gross."
"He's a boy not an "it."
"It may identify as a girl though. Or as both," Gerard sarcasmed.
"Animal's thoughts don't extend that far."
"It's still dumb."
Frank sighed. "I need to give him a name. Help me please." Gerard nodded and sat down on Frank's bed, followed by Frank sitting on his lap.
"How about Snowy?"
"Something original. Not corny. Like a human name."
"A human name? How 'bout Lucifer?"
Frank elbowed him. "I was thinking Greg."
"That's sooo stupid. Stupid ass name. Stupid ass rabbit."
"Or Andy."
"Andy's not that bad."
"Andy it is."
"I still hate it."
"I'm sure he loves you."
"It doesn't have feelings." The two stood up.
"Seems as if you two have something in common."
Gerard scoffed at his comment. "It is absolutely useless."
"Stop calling him that! How would if someone kept going around calling you it?" Frank shoved him.
"Frank, calm down. It's an animal. It's not important."
"What do you mean he's not important?"
"I mean it has no significance to the world, the way humans do. It doesn't provide. No one cares if it dies, kay?"
"Thanks for describing me!"
"Frank, what are you talking about?"
"I'm saying that-I'm saying that you basically just de-described my lllife."
"What? Oh. You're saying you have no significance," Gerard rolled his eyes.
"And don't forget about the part where no one cares if I die..." Gerard sat down and looked over at him. Frank glanced at him but his eyes went back to his feet.
"I care."
Frank looked up again and let out a silent deep breath. "I-I-I'm sorry for freaking out lli-ike that. It's ju-just that...the way you talked about him...and...just kind of reminded me....of myself..."
"Frankie, come here," Gerard gestured his hand towards himself. He reluctantly walked to him. Gee pulled him into a hug. Frank's right knee rested on his thigh and his other leg stood him right up on the ground. The older boy embraced him harder. Frank brought his other knee on his lap. This was good. Good for the both of them. Gerard's actions weren't planned. But they weren't natural occurrences. It was genuine. But it wasn't. Gerard truly liked Frank. And would do anything to make Frank happy, even if it interfered with others happiness. Except his happiness. Gerard's happiness would always be first. Selfish really, but love for him was selfish. All love was selfish. Maybe for Gerard, a little more than others. He couldn't connect with Frank on the emotional side of that rabbit. But he could try in a more logical way. Frank would be happy, right?
Frank needed the feeling of a good hug. From someone he loved dearly. Frank realized he had freaked out; his emotions got the best of him. Gerard didn't seem mad. He was hugging him for Christ's sake. Frank really wanted to kiss him. Very badly. The time seemed right for a small kiss on the forehead to show indication of appreciation. He decided against it. That could ruin everything. Gerard cared about him and this hug was the only thing he wanted for the rest of his life. His thoughts were about as pretentious as a Blood on the Dance Floor fan wannabe depressed scene kid's instagram page.
"Frank, I really do care about you though. Remember that?" Frank nodded yes and stood up.
A/N I've been sick all week. Yayy!! This is only part 1 of this chapter btw. A bit pretentious this was. Poor Frankie. Gerard is an ass, but he likes Frankie so no biggie. Im addicted to listening to Frank play Joyriding acoustically. That's some good shit. Yep, yep, yep. I have concluded Donald trump is a sociopath. I hope he dies. Have a wonderful day. Boob squeeze.
