Chapter 5

After Jasmine and I grab Andrea's favorite book we go back to the common room with Jeremy in tow. I hand Andrea the book and she happily takes it and picks the couch that I was on earlier. So I essentially switch her couches so I now have the couch in the middle. Jeremy gets back on his couch then and I'm surprised to see that Jasmine comes and sits on my lap.

With the CD playing we all sit and read from our books. I don't know how long we have been reading when I'm startled from my book by a knocking on the door. I look at the door and see my big sister standing there. "Momma," Jasmine hollers as she jumps up and runs to her mom.

"Hey sweetie how was school today?" Julianna asks Jasmine while hugging her.

"It was ok mommy."

"Did you finish your homework?"

"No, we read instead." Jasmine replies happily.

"Is that so?" My sister asks while directing an evil look at me.

"Sorry." I sheepishly grin, I can't help it.

"Well why don't we go finish it before supper?" She asks Jasmine.

"Okay mommy," she responds with a happy look on her face. After that they leave the room.

"Andrea are you helping me today?" I ask her knowing she won't.

"No." She says right as Jeremy ask,s "Help you do what?"

"Okay, that's what I thought. Just go in my room or stay in here just don't go to the second level. Please?" Then to Jeremy I say, "I have to make dinner."

"Fine." She replies curtly.

"I can help if you want me too." He replies back

"Thanks." I say to both of them.

"Whatever." Andrea remarks.

Jeremy and I have been downstairs making dinner for a while when I hear my mom's voice, "Josephine." She shouts.

"In the kitchen." I reply back.

"Oh, good there you are. I've been meaning to talk to you about-" she stops short noticing Jeremy in the kitchen with me. "Who's this?" She asks while giving me a 'He's cute' look.

"This is Jeremy, he just moved here and Jake invited him over."

"Oh, I see, but then where's Jake?"

"Upstairs with Trey." I grit out.

"Let me guess Andrea's here too?"

"Yep."

"Well this should be an interesting dinner."

"That's what I thought."

"So what I was saying earlier is we need to go get you a dress and then get it fitted."

"Do I have to go?" I ask her.

"Yes."

"Why?"
