The Haunting (a Ghost Hunt fanfiction)

     The SPR gang has arrived at Mai's old apartment building. Monk knocked on Mai's door, but the one who opened the door wasn't infact Mai at all.

     "Hi. Um is Mai here?" Monk asked the stranger

     "Mai?"

     "yeah."

     "I'm sorry but there is no Mai here. Ask the landlord, maybe she knows where this Mai gal is that your looking for. You see i've been living in the apartment for three years."

     "Oh ok, thanks anyway." the stranger nodded and closed the door.

     The gang headed to Mai's landlord's building. This time Lin knocked on the door.

     "hello? Oh! Your Mai's friends. What can I do for you?"

     "we're looking for Mai."

     "Oh... She- she moved across town to another building complex. If you'd like I can write down the address of the nuilding complex."

     "That would  be great." Noll spoke. After Mai's former landlord gave them the address the gang said their thanks and headed off.

   Once they arrived to Mai's new building complex they headed to her landlord's building.

     *knock knock knock*

     "Oh hello. What can I do for you folk?"

     "we're looking for a girl named Mai and heard she moved here and we were wondering what apartment building she's in." Yasu spoke. The landlord looked a bit shocked and hesitated slightly.

     "We- well. Why dont you all come in. Some things need to be explained." she opened the door wider for the gang to file in.  "have a seat please." They all took a seat in th living room across from the landlord.

     "So where's Mai?" asked Monk.

     "*sigh* Well where should I begin?
Ah yes, your friend was here on the first night at exactly 12:10 there was a horrible shriek. Some of her neighbors and I went to check on her. We opened the door and there she was, looking like she saw a ghost or something. She was breathing heavily and asked her what was wrong. She told us she saw a shadow like figure with red eyes and a sinister smile with pointed teeth. We thought she was probably sleep walking so we put it off. The same thing happened the next week. The poor girl was so spooked we put her into a different apartment with another person. We had ghost hunters check out the whole place and her apartment. Nothing came up and they said there was nothing here. So we put her back into her apartment. In a month the same thing happened again. That's when we thought enough was enough. I took her to the doctors and it turned out her insanity levels were through the roof. After we found out about her insanity levels they took her away to the nut house. Your friend Mai is mentally insane."

     "What?" Was all the gang (minus Noll and Lin who both wore slightly shocked faces) could say.

     "Where would this asylum be located?" Noll asked in disbelief that Mai, his Mai was mentally insane.

     "I'll write down the address for you." The land lord said.

     Once they were given the address they all headed to the asylum still in disbelief.

     Once there, the gang walked up to the front desk  "Hello what can I do for you guys today?" The desk lady asked.

     "Hi, we're looking for Mai Taniyama and have heard that she's currently in this facility." Naru said plainly.

     "I'll go get her doctor for you." The nurse quickly left and headed into another room behind the desk. The gang waited for about ten minutes for Mai's Doctor.

     "Good afternoon you must be friends of Mai. My name is Dr.Edgar." Said Mai's Doctor as he shakes everyone's hand. After introductions dr.Edgar leads the gang to Mai's room on the fourth floor.

     "So, how did Mai end up here?" Asked masako.

     "Well Mai was brought to us by the Shibuya hospital clinic. They believed she was crazy as the mad hatter from that Alice in wonderland book."

     "What we're the symptoms that she is showing?" Asked Lin (who was in fact very curious) as they got into the elevator to the floor Mai is on.

     "Well we put her on the second floor, believing she was harmless. We kept an eye on her. She would look like she was talking to herself when no one would be around. We have also noticed that sometimes she would be looking at something even when she is talking to herself. Ah. Here we are fourth floor. " dr.Edgar and the gang exited the elevator and walked to Mai's room.

     "This place is a little Erie looking." Monk said quietly

     "Agreed" said Ayako who was leaning into Monk a little bit.

     "Mai's room is 602. It isn't that far, just need to go straight then make a left." Continuing on to Mai's room the gang has noticed that all the rooms they are passing and have passed have windows that look into the patients rooms however there was a separation panel between both window panes. Once they have arrived to Mai's room dr.Edgar pushed some buttons on a number pad which activated the separation panel to slide upwards to give the gang a view of Mai's room. When Mai's room can be fully seen the gang was shocked at what they saw including Naru.

I found my book of the story to which is not finished on the written part, but here is the chapter everyone has been waiting for yay!! Hope you enjoyed and I'll get back to this story ;D
