"Koichi we need to leave for the hospital now if you want to see Mitzuko one last time. She's still holding on for you but we don't have long."

As soon as I step into the hospital we take off in a sprint to her room. I step into the room and see her lying in a bed.
"Mitzuko!"
She looks over my way. She barely looks awake. Her skin is as white as snow and her hands are freezing.
"Mitzuko."
"Koichi."
"Mitzuko why didn't you tell me?"
"I...didn't want to see you...cry."
"Oh Mitzuko", I say trying to hold back my tears,"Mitzuko I love you. It's ok you don't have to suffer anymore."
"I love you Koichi. I love you and everyone else."
She closes her eyes. Her breaths stop. She lays there lifeless.
