The bullet lands straight in my right arm.
"Ahh!" I scream and fall to the ground. Blood is ruing my horse t-shirt and dripping down to make my blue skinny jeans a hideous shade of purple. I rip off the sleeve (which like tears my heart out seeing that I love that shirt) and tie it around the wound. I stand back up, trying to ignore the tears gushing down my face.
" That's it you jerk. Throw down the gun and we can fight it out with just our fists." I spit out at him. Wheres Jane? Im seriously gonna yell at her when I find her. Devin shrugs.
"Ok, lets do it." Devin drops the gun. And by drops I mean like he literally drops the gun. It goes off and hits me straight in the thigh. I don't know how it shot me that far up, but it did. And it hurts. Devin runs straight at me and punches me in the thigh. Then he hits me in my right arm and then my jaw. I punch randomly but I'm just losing to much blood to do any damage. I start moving slower and slower and the world......just.....starts.....spinning.....! I fall to the ground and just lay there. Devin comes up behind me and punches me in the thigh over and over again. Finally he hits me so hard that the world spins and everything turned white. I see everything that stuck out in my mind all these. Everything anyone has ever said to me that made me feel a strong emotion.
Mom: I always wanted another son, but instead I got you. A girl, girls are useless and that's exactly what you are.
Devin: You stupid girl. You're useless.
Dad: Im going away now. Take care of Will and don't let anyone hurt you.
Snake: You're sexy! *smacks my butt*
Jane: Don't let people walk over you. Kick their butt and show them that the pretty little girl wont take crap.
The white surrounds me even more and then my eyes slowly start to focus. I hear a gunshot and wince. I half-expected another bullet to hit me. The punching stops and I hear someone fall next to me.
"Maddie!" Jane appears out of nowhere and comes by my side. Will places the gun down and points it towards the wall so its not staring straight at us. I hear sirens in the distance. Jane must've called the police but why did it take so long for them to get here?
"Maddie?! Maddie stay with me Maddie. Stay.......with......me.......!"
And the world turns white again, letting me see my life again, flashing before my eyes.
