"Duck!" I shout, but I know it's too late. The ones that aren't shot duck, but it only consists of seven people. My eyes dart towards my dad and I see him curled up in the sand clutching his leg. No way am I losing him now. I just found him!
I roll onto my back and shoot blindly. The others in my troop do the same. Some of the Taliban fall out of the trees, but bullets are still being shot at us.
I start to crawl towards my dad.
"We need to get out of here!" I shout. He nods, but then screams in pain. Great, how am I supposed to get myself, my dad, and the rest of the troop out of this situation. Honestly, I want to cry. But I can't I have a dozen or so people looking up to me and I'm not about to let them down. I'll need help from Captain Jones. I direct my eyes towards the direction of him, only to find his still body. Well that's not gonna help.
I crawl back towards a soldier shooting at the trees.
"I'm gonna sneak up behind them!" I say and she nods her head. I get up slowly and walk/crawl towards a boulder I could've sworn wasn't there a minute ago. I reach it and stand up behind it. The amount of bullets being shot drops, it's now or never.
I start sprinting across the sand to the trees. No one's noticed me yet. I reach the trees and circle around to the back. I go underneath one and see a really tan guy in camo shooting. I grab a branch and pull myself up, silently. I reach the branch he's on and step on the one beside it. These are weird trees. I pull out my gun from it's holster and place it against the man's skull. He freezes.
"Tell your friends to stop shooting or else." I say. Hopefully the man understands what I'm saying, but won't say "or else what". Because then I'm screwed.
The man turns his head to look at me. I squint my eyes, he looks familiar. The man takes this as his "escape" and punches me in the face. I drop my gun and it clatters against the branches before it falls to ground.
"Well, that isn't good." I say aloud. The tanned-man looks at my gun before directing his eyes on me.
He raises his gun, training it right on my heart.....
