Dad's dead. Tears threaten to burst over my eyes, but I blink them back. I sign the little sheet he gives me. I have to write my full name and then my signature.

My name is too long for the lines so I write it below.

I nod my head in thanks and then walk out of the building. I walk home instead of running at reach the house at 9:24.
Will is at the door with his girlfriend, Riley, and they hug and she walks down the steps.
"Hey Maddie." She smiles and hops into her blue Jeep and drives away. Will says hi and I just walk into the house and plop myself on the couch. I pull one of my grandma's crocheted blanket around me and then let the tears spill.
"Did they let ya in, sis?" He asks. I nod my head and then cry some more.
"What's wrong, Madison." He never calls me Madison unless I'm in deep trouble. I'm not this time, though. It's also not really a question. It's more like you-better-tell-me-or-else kind of things.
"Dad's dead." I say. Will sits himself on the couch by my legs. His face is blank and there's no emotion that I can see.
"I'm sorry." He says. His voice isn't at all sorry. I lean up on my elbows.
"What's your problem?" I ask. Will shrugs and tries to walk away, but I grab his arm and pull him back on the couch. He sighs.
"It's like mom to you. You hate mom and I love her. You like dad and I hate him. We are a love-hate family." He says.
"Mom says you're useless, but I see potential. Dad says I'm not good enough and I'm great enough." He says.
This family was ever complete.
We never loved like other families do.
We love, hate and then move on.
We are like one giant divorced family.
One thing is for sure though,
We ain't perfect.
(AUTHOR'S NOTE! I KNOW I SAID "AIN'T" AND I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW HOW TO END THIS CHAPTER SO I KIND OF JUST ENDED IT. ILL WRITE A LITTLE MORE LATER... BYE NOW!....FOR NOW!)
