Chapter Ten - END OF THE DAY

" At the end of the day
You're the one that I want
at the end of the day "

End of the day - One Direction

Sophie woke up with the sound of the alarm in her cellphone.

Lazily she opened her eyes and picked her phone from the nightstand to turn down the alarm and check her messages before getting up.

When she clicked on the button on her IPhone she saw a notification of two messages from Blake and a smile showed on her face. Yesterday had beem amazing and she was still trying to make sense of all of it. They had stayed at the park until dark and after that he drove her back to her house in the most slow way possible so they could stay more time together.

She opened the text.

Blake Thomas 5:00AM: Just got up and the first thought I had was of you. What have you done to me???

Sophie laughed and went to the second text.

Blake Thomas 5:03AM: now I realized what a creep I must have looked like on that text... Just ignore it. Please.

Sophia laughed even harder. And it was just 5:45AM. She then pressed reply and wrote her answer.

Sophia Klein 5:46AM: I tend to have this effect on people.. U'll get used to it 😉

After pressing send, Sophie got up from her bed then got ready for her yoga class.

But today she couldn't focus completely on the exercises. Every now and then she thought back to her date with Thomas.

He did everything. Fed her, made her laugh, impressed her, walked her up to the front of her door and kissed her lightly until she was too weak on her knees to keep kissing him back.

And left her wanting more.

Much more.

Now she had a long day of planning Brie's tour that was supposed to start in two months and a half.

"Good morning Sophie." Her partner Mike appeared on the door of Sophie's office that was always kept open so people could go in and out.

"Good morning Mike." She answered him with a smile on her face. Today nothing could bring her mood down.

"I see you're having a good day." Mike stated looking curious and Sophie tried to hide her enthusiasm a little bit.

"I'm excited about The Life Tour." She told him and he bought it.

"It is going to be huge, huh?" He asked her crossing his arms against his chest.

"It will.. Brie is amazing." Sophie said and in that instant Brie appeared there.

"Oh how I love when you talk about me on my back." She lifted a hand to her heart. "Hopefully you're not saying bad things."

"Sophie has just mentioned how amazing you are. So you're safe." Mike assured her and she laughed.

"I know I am." Brie said full of confidence and the three of them laughed. "Now I really need 5 minutes with my publicist." She said looking directly at Mike who dismissed himself.

"So, what is it that you want to talk about?" Sophie asked, motioning for Brie to sit in front of her.

"First of all, why did I have to hear from George that you had a date with Blake Thomas???" Brie crossed her arms and furrowed her eyebrows waiting for an answer.

"This was yesterday... I didn't have the time to call and tell you." Sophie reasoned and although Brie didn't look satisfied she accepted it.

"So now you have the time, spill it." Brie lifted her legs and placed them above Sophie's table waiting for her friend to start talking.

"I don't know what to say. It was... Great. But I don't want to put too much into it." Sophie lied. She knew that she had to keep a calm and collected exterior or else she would freak out and completely lose it before she could see Blake again.

"That's all? You're not gonna tell me the details?" Brie seemed even more disappointed now.

"We had a picnic and he kissed me... Not saying anything else." Sophie gave in a little bit and her friend looked a little more satisfied.

"I knew he'd kiss you!" Brie punched the air in a small victory act and Sophie laughed.

"How about George?" Sophia changed the subject hoping it would distract her.

"I'm finally meeting him this week. I'm just so excited!" Brie said and Sophie smiled at her. She was radiating happiness. And she deserved all of it. The carreer, the handsome new boyfriend, the Life Tour.

"Now please let's talk business. This tour of yours won't get done on its own." Both of them took deep breaths as advised by Sophie and started sorting out the details for the tour.

Brie would start in New Work, moving on to south, west and then back to east. She would keep the production minimalist in the beginning of the concert, with her on the center playing the guitar and the band spread all over the stage. And then as the songs went on, the magic would happen.

At the end of the day, Sophie was exhausted, but satisfied with the progress they made on planning the tour.

She couldn't wait for those two months and a half to fly so they could go to the road.

As Sophie day dreamed about going on tour, her phone started ringing. It was Blake.

"Hello." Sophie asked waiting for him to say something with a smile on her face.

"I've heard there was this rule about not calling the girl until 3 days after the date... Have you heard of it?" Blake asked and she laughed.

"I might have. Don't really care about it, though."

"Good, because I already called... And I'm standing outside your office building right now and waiting to go get some food with you." Blake stated and Sophie ran towards the window in her office that faced the street.

She was in the ninth floor but even then she could still see the form of Tom's body from the distance.

"What kind of food?" She asked, teasingly.

"I was craving Chinese." Blake answered and Sophie's stomach agreed with him.

"I'll be down in 5." She ended the call and quickly grabbed all the stuff she needed at home before going down.

When she got there they stood facing each other with smiles on their faces.

"I don't know if we should hug or shake hands..." Blake stated the truth and they laughed out loud.

"Fuck it." Sophie pushed herself towards him and kissed him on the lips.

That was the very best end for her day.
