I'll bring you coffee
With a kiss on your head "Say you won't let go - James Arthur
"Wake up sleepyhead!" Sophie whispered on Blake's ear. It was only 7am and it was Saturday morning, but for the two of them, it was late already to still be sleeping.
The reason: they stood up all night making up for the time lost.
Blake had traveled for a game away the week before and only returned last night. To make things worse, tonight was the first concert of Brie's tour and Sophia would have to leave soon to prep for the big night.
"What's that smell?" Blake asked still half asleep.
"Bacon. I made you some breakfast before I leave. It's in the kitchen waiting for you." She told him, sitting beside him on the bed in his apartment.
"You're amazing, Soph." Blake opened his eyes and said that looking deeply at her. That small gesture warmed her heart and put a smile on her face. "Do you have to leave now?" He asked.
"I still have some minutes." She told him checking the clock on the nightstand.
"Then forget breakfast and just come here for a bit more." Blake pulled her close to him.
"Someone is lazy today." She teased him.
"That's entirely your fault." He reasoned and she laughed. "But I don't have much time here. I have a meeting today with my manager."
"Really? On your day off?"
"He said it's important. Probably isn't, but I have to go anyway." Blake said still holding Sophie next to him.
"Call me when you leave this meeting. I left the backstage tickets for you on the dinner table. Your brother asked me for a ticket too so I put it there with yours." Sophie said. "I'll meet you there at the arena, okay?"
"Someone is on business mode." Blake spoke to himself. "Okay. Everything is going to be perfect, don't worry."
"How do you know I'm worried?" Sophie asked getting up to a sitting position.
"I love you. That's my job." Blake stated and that was enough to calm her down a little bit.
"I love you too." She replied and got up heading to the door. "I'm leaving now. Eat your bacon before it gets cold."
---------------------------
"It's going to be a disaster!" Brie shouted.
"B, it's only a small zit. Make up will cover it and no one will even notice." Sophia helped her friend and client to calm down and get ready. The two of them had a long day ahead of them before the show began.
"Have you posted that picture of me entering the hotel to get ready?" Brie asked laying on her stomach while a massage therapist worked on her shoulders.
"Yes, I did. An hour ago. Now all you have to do is relax and let Alessandra work her magic on you." Sophie answered and decided it was time to let Brie relax on her own while she did some work. "I'll be in the other room if you need me."
After a few hours all the details were ready. The only part missing was Brie's presence on the stage. Sophie couldn't be more happy. Brie Williams would rock this show and the entire tour. She just knew it.
"It's time to go, Brie. The car is waiting for us." She could see her friend was nervous but at the same time she had this confident look that just proved Sophie was right about her talent.
"Let's do it!"
----------------
"I have something for you." Sophie entered Brie's dressing room. The young singer was stretching her vocal chords and stopped to look what Sophia had in her hands.
A giant bouquet of red roses. Her favorite.
"Do you want to see the card?" Sophie asked with a grin on her face moments before Brie stole the bouquet from her hands.
"It's from George!" She squealed.
"What does it say??"
"It says 'Enjoy the first night of many successful ones you're gonna have. You deserve it. And more! I'll be right in front of the stage if you need support. From your #1 fan, George.'" Brie took a deep breath after reading the note and for the first time in the day, she didn't need Sophie to reassure her things would be alright. She knew it would.
"He's definitely a keeper, B." Sophie joked.
"Thank you Sophie! For everything. For being the best publicist and, most of all, friend. I can't thank you enough." Brie placed the bouquet on a table and went to give Sophie a hug.
"You did all by yourself. You're the star, girl." Sophie said and hugged back her friend.
"3 minutes for show time" Someone yelled outside.
"Now let's go before I start crying." The two of them laughed and that was it. Time for the show.
And just as everyone expected, Brie Williams was a success!
