"I can't believe I'm taking you to meet my family." Sophia told Blake as they were seated on their seats in the plane to Miami, where her sister's wedding was going to happen.
"Everything is going to be fine, Soph. They can't be that bad." Blake took her hand in his and tried to make her relax a little.
"I should be the one trying to comfort you." She reasoned and made him laugh.
"Since we're talking about family... my mother called last night and I told her I was going to Miami." Blake paused to see if Sophia was paying attention.
"So did you tell her about me?" Sophie asked out if curiosity.
"I did, although she already knew it from the internet." He shrugged, thinking back to how mad his mother sounded on the phone when she found out he had kept this from her. Apparently a neighbor of her saw a picture of Blake and Sophia on the internet and asked her when did he start dating someone.
Gossips and more gossips.
"We could visit them the day after the wedding if you want..." Sophie suggested when Blake didn't say anything else. "Or maybe you should go alone."
"Would you come with me?" Blake asked sounding surprised. More than Sophie could expect.
"Of course I would. I'm dragging you there to meet my family, why wouldn't I want to meet yours?" She reasoned. "Besides, your parents seem like a lovely couple."
Blake had to loosen his seatbelt a little bit so he could move his body enough to hug the woman sitting next to him.
"What was that about?" Sophie asked, confused with Blake's weird behavior.
"Have I told you how amazing you are?" He kissed her cheek and laughed, making her laugh too.
"Were you nervous I wouldn't want to meet your parents?" She asked him with a side smile that made him want to sweep her off her feet and into his heart.
"Dead nervous." Blake admitted.
The pilot then announced they were soon to land in Miami and not longer than 20 minutes they were claiming their baggage.
As they walked in the airport, Blake stopped Sophie in the middle of the corridor.
"You know what I just realized?" He asked her with a wide smile.
"That we're standing in the middle of the airport while people pass us by?" Sophie answered him with a bit of sarcasm in her tone.
"Nope." He shook his head no. "That I was standing right there the first time I saw you." Blake stated and then pointed at somewhere distant.
Sophie then looked at where he was pointing and realized it was the Corona Bar where she was when she first met Blake.
"The Corona Bar." She whispered.
