Chapter Four - HUNGOVER

"I wake up in another daze
With the world just spinning around
I don't know how you got me feeling this way
But damn I'm really feeling it now "

Hungover - Cascada

Sophia woke up with her head pounding and tried hard to open her eyes.

When she was finally able to do it she looked around, realizing this was not her room... At all.

Flashes of the night before came to her mind and she covered her face with her hands. She should think twice before drinking a whole bottle of wine without having anything to eat.

Now she was lying in a hotel bed. A very expensive bed, if she might add. The pillow and the blankets were just so comfortable she couldn't make herself get up.

Looking at the clock beside the bed she realized it was time to get up if she didn't want to be late for her yoga class.

She also had to pass by the office and go over all the media that her client had made last night. She was sure Williams did great. That girl was a natural rock star. Sophia only had to help her get to the top. And today she would start the next step.

Getting TV interviews and planning for a tour were her top priorities now.

"Okay, time to get up!!" She said to herself and after stretching her arms and legs she got up and went to the bathroom.

Because Thomas was staying in one of the top suites, he had a guest room... Rich soccer player stuff, as she described. And because she was too drunk and it was too damn late, he convinced her to stay for the night.

Now that she thought about it, she could have easily called for a cab. But deep down she knew she wanted to be with him longer. This was the last time they would see each other. Or so she thought.

When Sophie looked at her reflex in the mirror she cringed. She looked awful. The makeup was running down her face and her hair was a giant ball of brown mess.

Thanking the heavens, she remembered the small supply of makeup she had in her purse in case Brie had an emergency.

Getting the purse that was on the nightstand she got back to the bathroom, washed her mouth and her face, applying some mascara and lip gloss.

Then she went on to fixing her hair, tying it in a bun on the top of her head. That would do.

Only after her face was normal again she saw that she was wearing one of Thomas' Nike shirts. Sophie didn't remember ever putting them on. But that was easily explained by the amount of alcohol she was on.

After changing back into her dress, she looked again at the clock. 6:56am.

She should hurry if she wanted to be on time for 7:30 class.

She heard a soft knock on the door and looked as Thomas cautiously entered the room.

"Oh. I didn't expect you to be awake." He said in surprise. "Good morning."

"Good morning. And thank you for letting me stay last night." Sophia said, fighting hard not to drool over his exposed chest. Why did he have to be only wearing sports pants?

"Don't thank me. It was late and I have a spare room." He shrugged trying to look nonchalant. When in reality, he was quite impressed by how good Sophia looked with her hair up and no make up on. "So, last night was fun, wasn't it?" Thomas asked still standing beside the door slightly open.

"Who knew dancing on a rooftop could be so fun?" Sophie laughed, remembering how she forced Thomas to dance with her and they ended up dancing to Beyoncé 'Who run the world' song. And he was right, dancing was not his best ability.

"For you, maybe. For me it's best watching you dance." Thomas told her, still a little bit ashamed of his fail attempt of moving his hips in the rhythm of the music.

"Fair enough." Sophia agreed. "Now I really should go."

"I was actually wondering if you wanted to go grab some breakfast. I'm on my way to training." He suggested and for a moment Sophia considered.

They have already spent too much time together. Would it be safe to extend this time?

"I have yoga class at 7:30" She told him, still trying to decide.

"Okay... We have enough time. Are you ready to go?" Thomas made the decision for her and she just followed him through with it.

She got her purse and her cellphone which had died some time in the night before, while Thomas went to his room to put on a shirt and get his Red Bulls bag.

"After you." He said opening the door for her.

"Thanks."

They silently wallked towards the elevator and then exited the hotel together.

"Is it only me or your head is aching too?" Sophia asked, feeling the rays of sunshine getting to her skin.

"I can't drink that much given my job, you drank mostly everything... so, no hangover for me." Thomas told her as they walked to the closest coffee shop on the street.

"Oh, I forgot... the whole athlete thing." Thomas laughed at that. He seemed to find it funny how she didn't pay much attention to the fact he was a famous soccer player. It wasn't abnormal that people looked and pointed at him on the street. It made Sophie a bit self conscious.

As they made it to the coffee shop, Sophie ordered her usual café latte and walnuts while Thomas got himself coffee, two croissants and fruits.

"My treat." He said blocking her hand when she took money from her purse.

"This is not a date. You don't need to pay." Sophia reasoned although it was too late because he had already given his credit card to the cashier.

When they were leaving and Sophie was finally getting ready to say goodbye because they were going in different directions, Thomas stopped her and held her arm.

"It was great meeting you. Really." He said in a soft and incredibly seductive voice.

"Ditto. I had fun." Sophia tried not to blush although it seemed a little bit impossible given he was touching her and looking at her with those gracious blue eyes.

"See you, Sophia Klein." Thomas said, letting for of her arm.

"Goodbye, Blake Thomas." She said back and turned around to leave, taking a deep breath.

"Sophie!" Thomas called her back when she was already 5 steps aways.

"Yes?" She asked turning back at him.

"Who said it wasn't a date?"
