Chapter Twenty Four - NOSSA MÚSICA (OUR SONG)

"Em todo lugar que eu tô (Everywhere I am)
Em todo lugar que eu vou (Everywhere I go)
Eu penso em você (I think about you)
Por quê? Eu quero entender (Why? I want to understand)

E na razão, eu não posso mais pensar em te rever (In my head, I can't think of seeing you again)
E no coração, não aguenta mais ficar e quer fazer (And my heart can't stay like that and wants to make)
Uma ligação pra te pedir perdão (A phone call to say sorry)"

"Why did Mrs. Morgan call me saying your boyfriend moved to England?" Sophie's mom asked through the phone before she could say hello properly. Sophie was dead asleep when her phone rang.

"What?" Sophia's heart skipped a beat. She didn't want to discuss that topic with her mother and her head was pounding. Damn hangover.

"You heard me. Why is Blake across the ocean?" Eden insisted.

"He's going to play for Arsenal now. So he has to live there." Sophie answered vaguely not wanting to make the conversation longer.

"And why didn't you tell me you were moving there? I deserve to know when my daughter moves to another country! Are you moving after that girl's tour or..."

"We broke up, mom." Sophie interrupted her mother's rant.

"WHAT??" Eden shouted through the phone making Sophie drop the cellphone on the floor of the hotel bedroom. She slowly pickef it up and heard more of her mother's screams.

She wasn't expecting that reaction at all.

"You're never gonna find a man like him again!" That's the only sentence Sophia could hear and it broke her cause deep inside she knew that was true.

There was no one like him. And she knew it. Maybe that's why she drank her ass off last night and only returned to the hotel when the sun rose. And why she didn't care if Brie couldn't reach her on her phone because the battery died last night and she didn't charge it. She knew that was wrong and she had a client to take care of, but she needed that day off.

"Are you crying, dear?" That was when Sophie realized she was indeed sobbing.

"No. I just... I have a cold." She tried to fake a cough.

"Right." Eden didn't buy her lie. "Just... go after him already! That boy loves you. You can't be apart! Not even if there's an ocean separating you two."

Sophie only cried harder at her mother's words. "It doensn't matter anymore." She said remembering the picture of Blake and another girl. "It's over."

"Love is never over, Sophia." Eden stated. "Now, Mrs. Julian is waiting for me so we can take a walk. But we'll talk again later. Bye bye."

Eden hung up and Sophie heard a loud knock on the door. She grunted. Another person to disturb her.

She got up and went to the door to find a worried looking Brie and a pissed off James.

"Where the hell did you disappear to?" James questioned.

"It's almost noon already!" Brie completed.

"My phone died. I was sleeping. I've just woken up with my mother calling the hotel bedroom's phone. And to be honest, I'm not sure I want to do anything today so please don't fight with me." Sophia stated all of it without taking one breath and Brie and James immediately realized she had been crying.

"We were just worried about you." James' face went from angry to loving.

"We only have to travel tomorrow morning. You're free today." Brie told her in a much calmer tone.

"Thanks." Sophie whispered to them and went back to her bed without bothering to close the door.

"Are you hungover?" James asked, sitting beside her on the bed.

"Very." She answered already lying on the bed with her eyes closed.

"I'm ordering some hangover breakfast for you. Brie will prepare you a hot bath." He stated and Sophie grunted in response.

The rest of the day was spent like that. Sophie on the bed eating chocolate and doughnuts. James saying all the right things and Brie making small comments to try and make her laugh.

But at the end of it, Sophie wondered if what her mother said was true. Should she really go after him? If she could just have the courage to make a phone call and talk to him.

"Love is never over", she said. But Blake had already moved on. Maybe that wasn't love after all.

Or was it?
