The school day was finally over and i still hadn't come up with anything to do. I hope that i wasn't going to have another problem with Jessie and her friends, besides i didn't really want Spike to know about what had happened. I met up with Spike on the bus and we sat in our seat as he slung his arm over my shoulder. I like the small little things that were becoming an everyday routine, it was sweet. During the ride i had been looking out the window trying to figure out what we were going to do today and i still was coming up blank. I got that feeling and i realized that he was staring at me again. I was getting good at this.
"What are you looking at charmer, huh?"
I knew he was looking at me i just didn't know why. He gave me that sexy smirk and i took my arms and wrapped them around his stomach and pulled him to me and he took his palm and put it on my face. He was really looking at me now, like looking into me. I was scared at what he would see, could he tell that i liked him, could he see that he was everything and i was a nobody? Or even worse, was he slightly freaking out because he only wanted to be actual friends?
"I'm looking at this pretty lady, i really like this lady too. She's sweet, sassy, smart, and the loveliest thing iv'e ever seen."
Gosh he had a way with words, how was he able to turn me to mush! Did he even mean what he said or was he just making fun of me? Okay, well i guess two can play this game.
"I thought i told you it wasn't nice to make fun of me, hmm."
His face went into shock and he got pale. "I'm not playing games lady, i meant what i said, every word."
With that he leans forward and plants a sweet and soft kiss on my cheek and gave me a smug grin followed by a wink and turned forward. I quickly looked out the window and couldn't keep the smile off my face, my cheeks were flaming and my heart was in overdrive, was it possible that he was honest about liking me too? I was really glad he he wasn't a killer, that would've sucked.
We get off at our stop and stand in the middle of the road, wow were super smart, not. "Okay so your house or mine, unless you have a better plan?" I was glad i let him decide so that way he didn't feel so pushed, for once he could decide on what he wanted, and not what what everyone made him do.
"I guess we can go to mine, but it's not the best, i wish i had something better to offer you lady."
"Don't start with that mister, your place is just fine. He mumbled something i couldn't catch and i decided to let it slide, it took time for the turtle to come out of it's shell, but when it did, he was going places. More than the hare because he actually used his brain to think. Ha!
"Hey do you think we can stop by my house so i can drop my bag off?"
"Sure lady." I run up my porch and open the door. I leave it open wide so if he wanted to come in he could, not that i thought he actually would, but still. I throw my bag on the couch and i decide to stop in the kitchen to get some snacks. I grab some juice boxes and a thing of pringles. I see him standing in the doorway so i hand him the juice box.
"Here i grabbed you a juice, hope you like punch." He just stood there not saying a word. Okay we were going to have to douse this and douse it fast, he wasn't going to weird out on me over a damn juice box. "Spike it's just juice, it doesn't have to be a big deal...okay." Nodding he grabs my hand and we get started on the short walk to his house. I wonder what he's going to do when he finds out i brought chips.
"I really do wish i had somewhere better to take you Avery." Not this again, really. "Spike open the door." He opens the door and we walk in. "I only have a bed and a chair so if you want to sit down... "
