(A/n : This is gonna be a long chapter, but has some really important stuff in it. So just read it.)

Lionpaw sighed, as he entered the Appretices den. He had just been training with Bluefeather and Honeypaw and he was exhausted. He flopped onto his moss bed, and was just about to fall asleep when yowls of sadness snapped him out of dreamland.

Grumbling, Lionpaw padded out of the apprentices den to see what the problem was. A crowd of cats had gathered around something. Lionpaw pushed his way through the crowd until he could see what was going on. He froze, he couldn't believe it. The body of a cat lay on the cold forest floor. The body of Morningsun.

Lionpaw leapt out of the crowd and towards his mother's body. "M-mom?" Lionpaw trembled, hoping she would reply. No answer. Lionpaw shook his mother, trying to wake her. Lionpaw didn't want to believe it. "Come on, get up! This isn't funny!" Lionpaw cried, tugging on his mother's ear. No reponse. Lionpaw tugged harder on her ear.

The clan was silently, as Lionpaw desperately tried to wake his mother. "She's dead, Lionpaw" Cloudfoot said softly. "LIAR" Lionpaw shouted, his claws unsheathing. "Lionpaw..." Honeypaw said softly. "NO" Lionpaw snarled, as he snuggled himself closer to the body of his mother.

Lionpaw laid his head against his mother's chest, like he did when he was a kit. Silence. No beating heart, no breathing. Morningsun was dead. Tears streamed down Lionpaw's face. It felt as if his heart had been torn out of his chest. "Pigeonfeather! You have to help her" Lionpaw sobbed, snuggling closer into Morningsun.

"I tried Lionpaw. I really did" Pigeonfeather said sadly. "Try again!" Lionpaw begged. He couldn't believe this was happening. "Its too late.." Pigeonfeather muttered. Lionpaw sobbed into his mother's chest. The clan was silent. The only noises were Lionpaw's sobs of regret.

"W-what happened to her?" Lionpaw cried. "She was attacked by Sunclan warriors. I'm so sorry Lionpaw, I couldn't protect her" Tigerblaze sighed. Lionpaw shook with anger. "Apologising wont bring her back!" Lionpaw growled, angry tears streaming down his face.

Tigerblaze was silent. Lionpaw turned back to his mother's body. He settled down beside it, and began to clean her wounds. He was dizzy with sorrow and anger. "Lionpaw.." Honeypaw muttered, as she sat beside him. Lionpaw said nothing. He was broken.

Cloudfoot sat on his other side. "She was a loyal warrior and a great mother" Cloudfoot whispered, attempting to comfort Lionpaw. It wasn't helping. Another figure, sat beside Lionpaw. Coalpaw. "Lionpaw, I'm really sorry" Coalpaw muttered, brushing his pelt with Lionpaw's.

Lionpaw said nothing, just stared into his mother's lifeless eyes. He missed her already. He missed her voice, her laugh, her overprotectiveness. He wanted her to come back. But she couldn't. She was gone and he was just going to have to accept that.

Wildstar hopped up onto Highrock. "Warriors Of Fireclan, Sunclan has declared war on us. They have killed two of our warriors, and we will not stand for this! The gathering is tomorrow night, and I plan to tell the other clans about Sunclan. Hopefully, they will be able to aid us in Sunclan's defeat" Wildstar announced.

Yowls of agreement broke out. "Furthermore, to protect the rest of the clan, I will only take two warriors, and apprentices with me tomorrow night" Wildstar announced. The clan fell silent, awaiting Wildstar's decision."Squirrelfang, Cloudfoot, Lionpaw and Honeypaw will attend the gathering with me" Wildstar announced.
