Lionpaw sat silently, by the gorse tunnel. It had only been a day since Morningsun's death, and his head was still spinning. The elders had taken her body away this morning and Lionpaw could only watch sadly, as they dragged his mother to her final resting place.
"Lionpaw, are you ready for the gathering?" Honeypaw asked, as she sat beside him. Lionpaw only nodded, still looking at the ground. "Lionpaw, please talk to us. If you don't talk about it, your emotions will bottle up until you explode" Coalpaw muttered. Lionpaw shook his head.
There was nothing to talk about. Morningsun was dead, and he couldn't do anything about it. Coalpaw gave Honeypaw a worried glance. "Lionpaw please talk to us" Honeypaw begged. "Hush, Honeypaw. Lionpaw will talk about it, when he is ready" Wildstar commanded.
Wildstar gave Lionpaw a sorrowful look before turning towards the clan. "Cloudfoot, Squirrelfang, we are leaving" Wildstar ordered. Coalpaw sighed, and glanced at Lionpaw. "Tell me about the gathering when you get back?" He asked. Lionpaw nodded.
"Lets go" Wildstar commanded. With that, the five cats walked through the gorse tunnel and into the forest.

Lionpaw looked down at the clearing, where the gathering is usually held. Cloudclan and Iceclan were already there. He wondered if Leafpaw was here. He really enjoyed her company. "Lionpaw come on, we are going down there" Honeypaw whispered. Lionpaw said nothing and nodded.
They walked down into the centre. Wildstar hopped up onto highrock, and began to talk with Sagestar and Owlstar. Most likely talking about Sunclan. "Lionpaw" A familiar voice chirped. He turned towards the source of the voice and saw Leafpaw bounding towards him.
Lionpaw dipped his head but said nothing. He was afraid that if he spoke, he'd cry. "Whose this, Lionpaw?" Honeypaw growled. "I'm Leafpaw!" Leafpaw chirped. "I'm Honeypaw" Honeypaw growled. Lionpaw continued to say nothing, and Leafpaw seemed to notice.
"Whats wrong Lionpaw?" Leafpaw asked. Lionpaw's breath hitched, and he felt as if he might burst into tears. "Don't you know its rude to ask questions?" Honeypaw snapped, causing Leafpaw to flinch.
A victorious yowl, caused the gathering to fall into silence. Everybody looked up towards to the leaders but even they were confused. A Cat stepped out of the bushes, followed by other unfamiliar warriors. But the stench was unmistakable. Sunclan came to the gathering.
