When they arrived back at camp, the first thing he did was look for Splash. He spotted her by the fresh-kill pile, and excitement immediately washed over him. He was just about to sprint over to her when a familiar voice called his name. Coalpaw.
"Hey, how did the gathering go? Dear Starclan, Where did you get that Scar?" Coalpaw yowled. "Hush" Lionpaw hissed, as Pigeonfeather glanced their way. Coalpaw immediately hushed, but gave Lionpaw a questioning look.
"What happened at the gathering?" Coalpaw whispered. "I will tell you later, for now I need to talk to Splash, you can come if you want" Lionpaw offered. Coalpaw nodded, and followed Lionpaw over to Splash. "Splash, can I ask you some questions?" Lionpaw asked.
"Go ahead, Lionpaw" Splash nodded. "Tonight at the gathering, Sunstar said that there was a traitor in Fireclan, telling him everything. Is it you?" Lionpaw questioned. Both Coalpaw and Splash stared at him, and Lionpaw could feel his fur getting hot.
"No! It was not me, Lionpaw, you have to believe me!" Splash begged. "I do believe you. But we need to find out who is gossiping about Fireclan to Sunstar" Lionpaw sighed. Splash was silent for a moment. "If I tell you and he finds out he will kill me" Splash sighed. "He?" Coalpaw echoed.
"Splash, you need to tell us! If you don't than Sunstar will eventually find out, how to destroy Fireclan" Lionpaw growled. Splash was silent again before she began to speak.
"He was one of Sunstar's best friends back when he was a warrior of Fireclan" Splash sighed. "But who is it?" Lionpaw urged. Splash looked into Lionpaw's eyes. Lionpaw could see she was hesitating. "Greywhisker. Greywhisker has betrayed Fireclan" Splash murmured.
