Chapter 6

"What is this?" Wildstar demanded, when she saw the unconcious rogue. "Wildstar! We have got news!" Greywhisker yowls, causing curious cats to surround them. Lionpaw rolled his eyes. Greywhisker always loved being the centre of attention. Wildstar gave Greywhisker a curious look. "Well then?" She demanded.

"Lionpaw, tell her what happened!" Cloudfoot mewed encouragingly. Lionpaw nodded shyly. "I was hunting by four-Stones, when i was Attacked by rogues" Lionpaw began, causing gasps of horror to echo through Fireclan. "My precious Lionpaw! Attacked by rogues?" Morningsun began to panic. "Shh, it's okay Morningsun. Lionpaw is fine, see?" Firepelt mewed softly.

"The what happened?" Coalpaw asked, his eyes filled with curiosity and excitement. "They surrounded me.." Lionpaw admitted. Morningsun shrieked. "But then Honeypaw came and helped me fight off, Sunclan" Lionpaw assured his mother. "Sunclan?" Wildstar asked. "Honeypaw helped you?!" Coalpaw cried. Honeypaw shifted uncomfortably. "He is not my friend!" Honeypaw's voice wavered.

"Lionpaw, What is Sunclan?" Wildstar demanded. Lionpaw shrugged. "What did they smell like?" Bluefeather asked. "They smelled like my father" Lionpaw confirmed. "Your father?!" Morningsun shrieked. "Hush, Morningsun!" Tigerblaze growled. Morningsun began to internally scream. Lionpaw could tell by her eyes.

"Lionpaw, is she a Sunclan warrior?" Wildstar mewed sternly. Lionpaw hesitated before nodding. "She was left behind when their leader told them to retreat" Lionpaw muttered. "Leader?!" Wildstar mewed, horrified. "Did you get a good look at him?" Cloudfoot asked. "No, did you Honeypaw?" Lionpaw turned to his fellow apprentice. "No, he was covered by shadows" Honeypaw muttered uncomfortably. Obviously she did NOT like siding with Lionpaw.

"What does this mean for Fireclan?" Bramblepaw gulped. Lionpaw shrugged. "This means nothing that we can't solve" Wildstar finally spoke up. "Pigeonfeather take that she-cat to your den and treat her wounds" Wildstar ordered. Pigeonfeather nodded, took the she-cat by the scruff, and dragged her to his den.

"Cloudfoot double the patrols" Wildstar commanded. Cloudfoot nodded. "And Lionpaw" Wildstar muttered. Lionpaw looked at his leader hopefully. "Be careful" Wildstar mewed. Lionpaw nodded. "Dismissed" Wildstar commanded. Immediately, Fireclan cats began to go their separate ways. Tigerblaze and Bluefeather went into the Warriors den, Cloudfoot was talking with Wildstar and Robinflight was comforting a hysterical Morningsun.

Honeypaw began to slink away, she gave Lionpaw one last awkward glance before padding into the apprentices den, after Bramblepaw and Ravenpaw. "Lionpaw!" A hyper voice called. Lionpaw turned his attention to his best friend. "You really fought off rogues?" Coalpaw yowled excitedly. Lionpaw nodded awkwardly.

"That is awesome!" Coalpaw laughed, as He and Lionpaw made their ways towards the apprentices den. "T-thanks, I guess" Lionpaw stammered, as he entered the apprentices den. "You know, if you keep being this awesome, maybe Wildstar will make you a warrior early" Coalpaw joked.

Lionpaw chuckled at his friends logic. Suddenly, Lionpaw's pelt prickled, an uneasy felling washing over him. He turned to see Bramblepaw, Ravenpaw and Honeypaw staring at him. They looked away when Lionpaw's gaze met with theirs. Ravenpaw whispered something to Honeypaw, causing Honeypaw to flick her ear. "Shut up" Honeypaw yowled.

"Hey Lionpaw, you paying attention?" Coalpaw demanded. Lionpaw turned his gaze to Coalpaw and nodded. "Just tired is all, I had a big day today" Lionpaw admitted, which wasn't really a lie. "I bet. You fought off rogues today! You should get some rest" Coalpaw suggested. Lionpaw nodded, as he curled himself up into his bed. "Night Coalpaw" Lionpaw muttered, as the other apprentice began to lie down aswell. "Night Lionpaw" Coalpaw yawned. Lionpaw sighed, as he let sleep consume him.
