After Sunclan had left the gathering, Cloudclan, Iceclan and Fireclan had stayed behind to talk things out. Lionpaw stayed quiet as the meeting went on. "Hey Lionpaw. You okay?" Cloudfoot asked, as he turned to his apprentice. Lionpaw looked at the wound that ran from his shoulder to his chest. That was going to leave a scar.
"I think so..." Lionpaw muttered, as he gave the wound another swift lick. It stung. "You were very brave, Lionpaw" Honeypaw muttered. "Agreed, while most would have submitted to Sunstar, you stood strong" a familiar voice broke in. Wildstar.
Lionpaw looked up at his leader then back to his paws. "He killed Morningsun" Lionpaw muttered bitterly. "Not quite" Wildstar admitted. Lionpaw's head snapped up towards his leader. "What do you mean?!" Lionpaw whisper-shouted.
"From what Sunstar was bragging about earlier, it seems we have a spy in Fireclan" Cloudfoot muttered sadly. "You don't think it was Splash, do you?" Honeypaw growled, getting to her paws. "I'm not sure yet" Wildstar admitted. "Tigerblaze and Greywhisker were on patrol with her that morning" Squirrelfang recalled.
"I will have to question them, when we get back to camp" Wildstar muttered. "What if Sunstar was lying?" Lionpaw asked. "We could always ask Splash, Maybe she knows" Cloudfoot suggested. "I will ask her" Lionpaw offered. Widstar nodded. "Good idea, Lionpaw, she trusts you the most" Cloudfoot agreed reluctantly.
Lionpaw smiled knowingly. Despite what Cloudfoot says, everybody knew that he had a strong affection for Splash. "Then its agreed" Wildstar nodded. "Come along then, we'd better begin our investigation" Cloudfoot chuckled. With that, the five cats began their journey back to camp.
