So, Harry's name had been picked out of the Goblet. And as soon as it was, it seemed as though the entire Gryffindor house had turned on him. Well, everyone except for Hermione and Ginny. Even Ruby stuck by his side, especially since Ron had decided to sever their friendship.
"I think Malfoy did it," Ruby said.
"What makes you say that?" Hermione asked. The girls were in the library, trying to find any means at which to help Harry survive their tournament. So far, the odds were not in their favour.
"I have a hunch," she replied.
"How could Draco Malfoy possibly put Harry's name in the cup? He's fourteen, the age line wouldn't let him pass," Hermione said.
"But as far as I know, Malfoy has had it in for Harry since first year. I wouldn't be surprised if he conjured something to trick the cup," Ruby replied.
"Like the twins?" she asked. Ruby snorted as she remembered the twins wrestling on the dining hall floor, with grey hair down to their shoulders and bushy moustaches and beards.
"The only difference is that Malfoy is probably smarter then the twins combined," she said. Hermione raised an eyebrow.
"Did you just pay Draco a compliment?" she asked her.
"Theoretically," she replied.
Ron then stormed in with Ginny by his side, not looking pleased at all. Ruby looked at him and smirked.
"Why the long face, Weasley? Did someone snatch the last pumpkin pastie from breakfast?" she joked.
"I need a favour from one of you," he replied. Hermione and Ruby looked at each other, knowing what was about to happen next.
"Not it!"
"Not it – oh!" Ruby wasn't fast enough, which meant she was delivering the favour. She scowled and turned to Ron, "What is it?"

They found Harry sitting outside the lake, with Neville marvelling at the creatures he found in the water. Ron kept pushing her closer and closer, but Ruby was getting more and more squeamish as she approached Harry. She didn't like being in the centre of conflict, it her made extremely uncomfortable, and she wasn't able to think straight.
"I don't want to do this!" she hissed at Ron.
"Just do it!" he hissed back. Harry saw them approaching, and he stood up.
"This is stupid!" she said.
"Go," he told her. Ruby rolled her eyes and went up to Harry.
"Hi," she said nervously.
"Hi," he replied, sending a cold glare towards Ron.
"Alright, um – Ron would like me to tell you that...Seamus told him that, uh...Dean was told by Parvati that...Hagrid's looking for you," she said, then she looked at Ron, "Right?" she asked him.
"Really?" Harry asked, "Well...what?" he was as confused as Ruby was. She rolled her eyes and marched back to Ron.
"Please don't make me say it again," she begged.
"Do it," he replied. Then she went back to Harry.
"Dean was told by Parvati that...look! Hagrid is looking for you! Alright? That's the bloody message! Hagrid wants to see you!" she said.
"Well you can tell Ron that–"
"I'm not an owl!" she snapped at him. She pushed passed Ron and marched back through the forest with Hermione.
