Ruby wasn't sure how long she was out there, but it felt better then wasting her time inside. She suddenly heard footsteps coming towards her.
"Ruby," Harry said.
"What're you doing here?" she asked him.
"Needed to clear my head," he replied, "You?"
"Didn't feel like watching Seamus blow things up in potions," she muttered. Harry took a seat next to her.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.
"Not particularly," she replied. Harry pulled a tissue out from his pocket and wiped away her tears.
"This is the first time I've seen you cry," he said.
"And hopefully, it'll also be the last," she muttered.
"Come on, let's go for a walk. Clear our heads," he said as he stood up.
"Why does your head need clearing?" she asked.
"Never mind," he replied. Ruby stood up, and the two of them shuffled through the hallways together. They suddenly heard two voices, and somebody crying.
"What's your name?" their recognized one of the twins' voices, probably Fred.
"Michael," a smaller, more vulnerable voice said. They turned the corner, finding the twins were comforting a first year who had tears streaming down his face. Seemed everybody was having a bad day.
As they came closer, they realized that Michael had a phrase cut into his hand as well. Ruby couldn't blame him for crying.
"Your hand's gonna be fine, Michael," George said.
"Yeah. Yeah. It's not as bad as it seems. See? It's fading already," Fred said.
"You can hardly see ours anymore, and the pain stops after a while," George said.
"Hey guys," Harry greeted them.
"What happened?" Ruby asked.
"Umbridge," they both replied.
"Why're you all wet?" Fred asked her.
"And why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" George asked Harry.
"Slytherins,"
"Snape," they both replied. Suddenly, they heard somebody clear their throat. They turned around and found Umbridge standing behind them, looking at them as if nothing was wrong.
"As I told you once before, Mr. Potter, naughty children deserve to be punished," then she walked away, smiling that idiotic smile of hers.
"We have to do something," Ruby said. Harry agreed, boring daggers into the back of Umbridge's head.
"You know, George, I've always felt our futures lay outside the world of academic achievement," Fred said.
"Fred, I've been thinking exactly the same thing,"

The fifth years sat in the grand hall, quietly writing their O.W.Ls. Some of them still had the scars from Umbridge's magic quills. Umbridge stood at the front, watching them all like hawks as a massive pendulum swung behind her. Ruby didn't even know a quarter of the questions they were asking of her, she was being tested on quite advanced concepts.
Suddenly, a loud bang captured everyone's attention, followed by another. They sounded like gunshots. Umbridge marched towards the door, to see just what in the name of Merlin was going on out there.
She opened the door, but nothing was out there. Not even the windows looked damaged. That was until a small firework appeared. It spun and danced in front of her nose, then flew into the hall and divided into three. After that, silence.
All of the sudden, the twins flew in on their broomsticks. The wind the brooms carried made the test papers take flight, shooting them into the air as more fireworks went off above their heads. The mood in the room suddenly changed, and everybody was excited!
Umbridge wasn't. With every firework that popped, every spark the sizzled, her eye began to twitch. Ruby got up out of her seat, smiling that beautiful smile that nobody had seen in days. George quickly flew down to her.
"Hey, Dellamark! This one is for you!" he shouted over the commotion. A small spark flew out of his hand and shot over to Goyle. It got extremely close, burning the skin on his nose and leading it to blister. Ruby watched the spark then flew towards Crabbe and spark under his butt. Afterwards, the spark aimed right for Draco. He was backed against the wall, but just before the sparkler hit him, he ducked out of the way. In his place was a shiny template of his terrified expression.
Fred then took a rather large sparkling tube and threw it in the air. It exploded into a mass of embers, then took the form of a dragon. The dragon growled, then slithering through the air and went after Umrbridge. The small woman ran down the isle, trying to outrun the dragon. Alas, she wasn't fast enough. Just before she could get to the door, the dragon devoured her with a mighty chomp, and exploded into more fireworks.
All of Umbridge's proclamations that hung from the wall shook and shattered from the vibrations, and then fell to the floor.
With that, the twins flew out of the hall and into the courtyard, all the fifth years followed. Out in the courtyard, all the students gathered round and cheered for the twins. More fireworks went off in the air, spelling out a large 'W'.
Hermione and Ruby stood side by side, clapping and jumping for their freedom. But when Hermione turned around, she stopped clapping. Harry had fallen to the ground, gasping hard. Ruby turned as well when Hermione went to help him. She could only hear one word out of his mouth:
"Sirius,"
