Another summer had come and gone, and just like all the ones before, they ended in complete tragedy for Harry. This time, the straw broke when he brought his buffoon-brained cousin home after a dementor attack; and of course, the Dursleys blamed him. The problem was, what were the dementors doing so far away from Azkaban.

A team had set out to collect Harry before his expulsion was in order. The adults were chatting down in the dining room, while the children were left upstairs, and not allowed to listen in. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had left their four children up in one of the master bedrooms, and Hermione arrived much later. She was disappointed to leave her vacation, but the moment she heard the about the dementor attacks in Harry's hometown, she came right away. Ron had sent Ruby on owl, letting her in on the impending situation. She arrived ten minutes after Hermione did, and was placed in the bedroom as the others were.

"Well, this is cozy," Ron said, noting the fact that he was now alone in a room with two girls. His brothers were off somewhere, committing acts of mischief, and Ginny had locked herself away in a different room, waiting patiently for something to happen.

"You'd think for being a part of such a prestigious organization, Sirius would have a much bigger clubhouse," Hermione said.

"I don't mind so much," Ruby said, "Reminds me of the group home," she replied.

"What was that like?" Hermione asked her.

"A much smaller, more cramped, magic-less version of the Ravenclaw common room," she replied.

Suddenly, they heard the door click. The three kids stood up and waited, hoping that something good was on the other side of the door. And they were relieved to find it was only Harry.

"Harry!" Hermione engulfed him in a hug before he could make it two steps into the room. "Are you alright? We heard them talking about the dementor attack. You must tell us everything," she said. Harry nodded.

"Let the man breathe, Hermione," Ron said.

"And this hearing at the ministry, it's completely outrageous! I've looked it up, they simply can't expel you. It's completely unfair," she said.

"Yeah. There's a lot going 'round at the moment," Harry muttered, "So, what is this place?" he asked.

"His headquarters, mate," Ruby replied.

"The Order of the Phoenix, it's a secret society. Dumbledore formed it when they first fought you-know-who," Hermione said.

"He couldn't have put any of this in a letter, I suppose," Harry said. The three children looked at each other. They knew Harry would want to know why they didn't right to him, any of them. "I've gone all summer without a scrap of news,"

"We wanted to write you, mate. Really, we did," Ron said, "Only–"

"Only Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything," Hermione said. Ruby shut her eyes in annoyance. Hermione was always the one who could never keep a secret for extended periods of time. She looked at Harry, who looked especially hurt at this information.
