Fairytales Do Come True

1 Month Later

Toni

I've been at this hospital everyday for the past 1 month praying that Kenny pulls through. He's breathing on his own now. Jake shot Kenny and Kenny shot Jake and both of them ended up in the hospital. Jake is still in ICU slowly recovering. After everything his ass did they can't find any evidence against him.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Cough* *Cough*

I looked up in disbelief. I watched in amazement as Kenny opened his eyes. He looked at me and slightly smiled.

"Hey baby". I walked over to him grabbing his hand. "How are you...and Adrian"? Kenny softly spoke.

Tears ran down my face as his voice made me melt. It was like hearing birds chirping on a beautiful spring day.

"He's okay baby. He's with Amber at the house".

"Toneeee"? Kenny said out of break while closing his eyes. "Yes honey"? I leaned in.

"You're leaning on my side". Kenny whispered. I quickly shot up in fear. "I'm so sorry I didn't know". I began to cry. "Don't cry Tone I'll be okay". Kenny trailed off and fell asleep.

2 months Later

Doctor

It's a boy!!!!!!! Congrats!

Kenny

"Baby I love you so much"! I wrapped my arms around Toni.

We were in the nursery admiring our work. We painted the room light blue and hung up some cute decorations.

Toni turned around and kisses me passionately and the baby kicked.

"Cock blocking already huh little man". I chuckled rubbing Toni's stomach.

3 months Later

"Do you Kenneth take Toni to be your lawfully wedded wife"?

"I DO"!

"Do you Toni take Kenneth to be your lawfully wedded husband"?

"I DO"!

3 Months Later

Doctor

"Toni I need one big final push from you on 3".

Everybody
"1.......2.....3"!

Toni

"Oh my God Ken he looks just like you"!

*Kenny Faints*

2 Hours Later

"Baby I'm so sorry for fainting I was so taken back". Kenny chuckled. "It's okay now come hold your son".

"Did you name him yet"? Ken asked tearing up. "No I wanted it to be a joint effort". "Well we got Adrian how about we have a Adam". Kenny said looking at me.

The baby cooed.

"You like that little guy". Kenny asked looking at the baby in amazement.

"Adam Julian Edmonds"!

1 Year Later

Toni

I could never imagine my life would turn out this perfect. Today I got a call from the hospital telling me they needed me to come down. I walked in the room to see a person watching tv sitting in a wheelchair.

"Jake"? I asked surprised. "Hey Toni". Jake turned around. "Before you say anything I want to say I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. I wasn't happy with myself and I couldn't believe a woman like you loved me. I've had a lot of time to think and I want you to change Adrian's last name to Kenny's. I don't want him to ever know I existed". Jake began to cry.

"Thank you Jake that means a lot to me".

After I left Jake I found out that Jake was paralyzed from the waist down and he had the early stages of prostate cancer.

Kenny

"Baby are you okay". I asked Toni concerned. "Yeah I um went to see Jake". Toni whispered. "How is he"? I asked really not giving a damn.

"He's paralyzed and he has prostate cancer". Toni sighed. "Oh I'm so sorry to hear that baby".

"And he apologized for everything Ken". Toni smiled hugging me.

Toni

"I always said I didn't need to hear Jake apologize for hurting me but I guess I did. After everything that happened I still go by the nursing home and check on him. Kenny even tagged along a few times they're starting to bond over sports smh. Adrian doesn't know about Jake at all and that's the way we are going to keep it. Oh I almost forgot....I'm pregnant again... Lord please let it be a girl it's too much testosterone in this house"!

"Come on girl let's head to the spa while Kenny has the kids". Amber smiled holding her purse.

I got my things together and stood on the balcony overlooking the backyard. I looked down and saw Kenny playing with Adrian, Adam and Chris. Kenny looked up at me and mouthed "I love you" and blew me a kiss.

I caught the kiss and blew one at him. "I love you too" I mouthed smiling.

"Must you two always do that when someone goes somewhere". Amber asked laughing.

Kenny and I both laughed we stared into each other eyes, smiling like this was the first time we ever laid eyes on each other.

"Who said fairytales don't come true"?

Thanks everyone for reading this book. I know a couple of you wanted Jake to die but I wanted to do something a little different. He may not be dead but he'll never walk again so basically karma got his ass. I hope you enjoyed this book.
