(Steph's POV)

The moment I landed a foot out of Xavier's cadillac escalade, I immediately felt the cold San Francisco night breeze.

Bigla akong nanigas. It felt as if all my hair in my body stood up and froze. 'Di nga talaga biro ang lamig dito sa San Francisco! Parang iisipin mo nalang na hindi ka talaga magtatagal dito dahil sa lamig. Gosh, I wonder how I ever got used to this last time?

I thanked the valet for opening the car door for me. Then, I stood waiting for Xavier to cross the space between us. Naka black leather jacket lang siya, white v neck and jeans but even so, he managed to make such simple clothing, so dashing. He handed the keys to the valet and walked towards me.

He smiled a little, which made my heart pound. Napapadalas na ata na ganito ang nararamdaman ko pag may ginagawa si Xavier para sa akin. Especially now that he's not as cold and is more approachable.

"Let's go?" aya niya while taking my bag from me and carrying it. Napangiti naman ako at sumunod nalang

Suddenly, I felt his arms rest around my shoulders. Nakaakbay siya sakin ngayon. I couldn't help but slightly let out a sigh with how he's behaving around me. And I just really, really, really, couldn't believe Xavier's actions— his ability to let out a whole new person in front of me.

Para siyang two in one, if I could describe! He appears cold and acts all snobbish to those who doesn't know him well or to those who he doesn't get along with. But then, in the opposite situation, para siyang hindi si Xavier na kinikilala kong cold— para siyang... ewan. Napaka opposite talaga. Biglang bumait! Parang north and south poles.

I looked up and saw the name of the hotel "The Ritz-Carlton Luxury Hotels" .

The whole building has that Old Greek vibe, just the kind of place you see movies based on greek myths show. Mas lalo akong napahanga when we entered. The whole place looks so sophisticated and elegant! 

"This way Ma'am and Sir" a concierge said. Sumunod lang kami ni Xavier. Nobody even dared to speak!

The Concierge led us to the 24th floor where The Ritz Carlton Suite was. From what I know, our suite is in the same floor as the Presidential Suite.

Mahal siguro 'toh, but then our parents were the one who gave us the whole vacation package. I just don't seem to quite understand why we have to stay in a hotel, specifically the second most luxurious suite available, when we have a a house here in San Francisco that Xavier and I could use.

The moment we got out of the elevator, the same marbled walls, cream tiled and carpeted centered floors greeted us. Elegant lamp walls, chandeliers and framed paintings were present and were as if guiding and leading us to the front door of our suite.

Moments later the door to our suite was opened and I couldn't help but to feel stunned. It was a very spacious room with a panoramic view of San Francisco's city landmarks at night. Have I ever mentioned that San Francisco is pretty at daylight but prettier at night? Standing here feels like I could reach the stars with my hand. It's as if San Francisco's night city lights were stars— they were bright, heart warming and very satisfying to look at.

"Right this way," the concierge lead once again.

We followed and he led us to the other part of the living room in the suite. There was a wine cellar, a LCD Flat screen attached and looked as if it was built in the white wall. Everything looked so modern, and again— sophisticated. From the curtains, to the flooring, to the lampshades and other furniture pieces— perfect! No words can describe it! Kudos to the designer for s/he really did a very magnificent job.
