Chapter 63

(Stephanie's POV)

9:24AM

Kita ko galing sa digital clock na nakasabit sa pader ng kusina. Wala sa oras ay napahikab ako.

I sighed and lightly slapped my cheeks hoping na kahit papano ay medyo magising ako ng uunti.

Ugh! I really need my coffee right now! Ang kaso kasi, hindi pa tapos sa pag brew ang coffee machine kaya hindi pa ako makainom inom ng kape.

Again I yawned, as if the thought of not having coffee makes me want to sleep again.

Kahapon lang kami nakauwi ni Xavier galing San Francisco. The two of us tried not to sleep the whole day para malabanan namin ang jetlag at makabalik ang tulog namin according sa timezone ng Pinas. But of course— that didn't work.

Wala pang tatlong oras mula ng nakadating kami ng bahay ay hindi namin namalayan na nakatulog na pala kami. The next thing we knew, it was already ten in the evening!

And then boom! Nahirapan nanaman kaming matulog sa gabi. Kaya ngayon, pakiramdam ko antok na antok ako. I don't even want to go to XA today! Parang gugustuhin ko pa ata ang matulog nalang dito at mamiss ang preparation for the upcoming midterm.

"Gosh, Steph. Wake up!" sabi ko nalang sa sarili ko at nagumpisang mag handa ng almusal.

French Toast, Bacon and Sunny side up eggs, rice, pancakes and strawberries ... and bread. I recited inside my brain.

As mentioned before, hindi naman talaga nag h-heavy breakfast si Xavier. But still, I want to prepare a full set of breakfast for him. I mean, he has a full day ahead of him! His class starts at 11AM today pero tuloy tuloy 'yon hanggang 4PM. I don't think he'll have time for lunch pa nga since ten minute breaks lang siya between his four classes. Pagkatapos pa ata no'n, he has a two or three hour basketball practice.

Tapos na nga ang basketball season but they have practice in preparation of next year's season. Kaya balik practice nanaman siya.

And what else could I even do for him? Hindi na nga kami nakatulog kagabi dahil sa jetlag hanggang sa mag 6AM, tapos packed pa ang sched niya today. The least I could do is feed him with a heavy breakfast.

Minutes passed and I was busy making pancakes while taking a sip of my coffee, pampagising lang! Pero maya maya pa ay nakaramdam nalang ako ng pumapalibot sa bewang ko.

I started smiling like a lunatic when I realized who it was. I mean, who else would it be right? Lilingunin ko na sana siya but I failed to do so when he rested his chin on my shoulder and started nuzzling my neck

"You smell good.." he huskily said

"Xavier," I murmured while trying to suppress my laugh

"Mmm," he said while he continues to nuzzle my neck

"Xavier, I'm trying to finish making your breakfast," dugtong ko pa but he wouldn't stop until I felt him lightly chuckling

"Breakfast can wait, love" he said and sneakily turned the stove off

"Hey what are you doi— Xavier ohmygosh!" I freaked when he started pulling me habang naka yakap parin siya sakin!

"Xavie— ay!"

His laughter filled the house habang ako naman nakatalikod at nakakandong na sakanya. Tawa lang siya ng tawa habang yakap yakap parin ako and I couldn't help but join him

Hinarap ko siya, and saw him smiling from ear to ear while looking at me. If every morning I have in the rest of my life starts like this, then I probably wouldn't know how to properly thank God
