15: The Halloween Ball

-Hermione's P.O.V- 

"Gin... Can we talk?" I asked Ginny at breakfast.

"Of course Mione... Bathroom?" She asked.

"Yeah" I laughed.

"We are going to fight a troll, see ya Harry" She smirked.

"Be careful" He winked.

We walked out of the Great hall and she looked at me "Well?" She smiled.

"Promise not to freak?" I asked nervously.

"Of course... Oh my Merlin! Is it a boy!? I noticed you've been happier lately!!!" She smiled, boucing up and down excitedly.

"Yeah it might be something like that" I blushed.

"Eeeek!!!" She squealed "Who!?"

"Well... It's Draco" I said nervously.

"Malfoy!?" She yelled.

"Yes" I nodded.

"MERLIN HERMIONE!!!" She yelled.

"Ginny be quiet! Calm down..." I told her.

"So... He has changed?" She asked.

"Yes... He's wonderful! He's sweet and caring, funny and everything I've ever wanted, Gin" I confessed.

"Aw, Mione it sounds like you really like him" She hugged me.

"I do... So your okay with it?" I asked.

"Of course... If he hurts you though..." She started.

"I know, you'll kill him like your gonna kill your brother" I smiled.

"You know me so well" She smiled cheekily and we walked back into the Great Hall.

"Hey girls" Harry smiled.

"Harry! Hermione's dating Draco!" She said excitedly.

Harry chocked on his pumpkin juice.

I put my hand on my forehead "Ginny!" I exclaimed.

"Oh... Right sorry... I guess I should have eased into it.." She smiled nervously.

"Your dating who!?" He yelled.

"Harry keep your voice down, please" I begged.

"Your dating who?" He asked in a softer tone.

"Draco Mallfoy" I nodded "But Harry he is sweet and funny and kind and the most wonderful person! I promise you Harry he is a good person!" I tried to convince him.

"Mione..." He sighed "I cant talk you out of it... So all I can say is... Ill kill him if he hurts you"

"Deal" I smiled.

"Thank you... Thank you both so much!" I said and hugged them

-Halloween Night-

"Hermione? You getting ready?" Draco asked through the closed door.

"Yes, but don't come in!" I commanded.

"Okay okay! I'm walking away" He said laughing.

I sighed and looked in the mirror, I had been planning my outfit for a week! I had just gotten out of the shower and used a quick drying spell on my hair. So I then started on my makeup. I started with foundation and power, I then did a smoking eye, shimmering black eyeshadow right on the bottom on the lid... Then a silver near the crease leading into a sparkly white on the brow... It looked awesome! I then took a black liquid eyeliner and did my eyeliner with a small wing. I then took black mascara and made my eyelashes extremely long! I then put red lipstick on with a red shimmery lip gloss on top to make it pop!

Then I did my hair, I did it just like I did it for the Yule Ball in the fourth year. I then put little clear gems in it around the bun. Then I put my jewelry on, my earrings and necklace then my silver mask. I then stripped from the towel that was around me and I put on my huge black dress. It was very poofy and I felt like a Princess! It was black with ruffles... Black for Halloween of course. Lastly I put on my sparkling silver high heals.

I looked in the mirror and felt truly beautiful! I glanced at the clock and it read '6:51pm'. We had 9 minutes to get there. I walked to the door and opened it, walking into the common room where Draco sat on the couch. He wore all black and had a silver mask on. As he heard the door open he stood up from the couch and looked at me.

"Wow... Hermione you look... Beautiful" He said with wide eyes in awe.

"Thank" I looked down blushing.

"No like... you look stunning!!" He gawked and quickly moved towards me, placing his hands on my waist "You know... We have masks... So I'm going to steal you on that dance floor" He smirked.

I laughed "Fine with me" I pecked him on the lips.

"Mm can we do that again" He asked, smirking and leaned down, giving a long slow kiss before breaking apart.

I breathed in deeply, smiling up at him.

"Ready?" He asked.

I nodded "Let's go"

We arrived at the Great Hall and it was amazing! Everyone was dressed in masks and dress robes. Girls had beautiful dresses of every color. Guys wore nice suits with a mask to match there date. No one could tell who anyone was. There was fog near the ground and it created a spooky mood. Candles floated near the ceiling and it was over all rather dark. Draco and I walked to the dance floor arm and arm since no one could tell who we were for the most part.

"May I have this dance?" He asked with a smirk.

"Of course" I smiled as he took my waist.

We danced for a song when a slow song came on and I put my arms around his neck. He pulled me closer and I smiled at him. I just stared into those icy gray eyes and rested my head on his shoulder.
