8: Confession

-Hermione's P.O.V-

The next day was Monday. I woke up at 7, breakfast was at 7:30 and classes at 9. I got up and dressed into my school robes and went into the bathroom. I did a little makeup like usual, foundation and powder, nude eyeshadow, black mascara and light pink lip gloss. I put my hair half up half down and walked into the Common Room.

I went to Draco's door and knocked "Draco... It's 7:20, breakfast is at 7:30 and your coming and your going to eat" I said though the door.

When there was no reply I continued "Draco? C'mon open the door" I said again.

With still no response I sighed "I'm coming in" I said and opened the door, walking in.

He sat on his window seat staring out the window.

"Draco... Please don't make this hard" I walked over to him.

"Why do you want to help me so bad?" He asked softly, standing up.

He was much taller then me so I looked up at him "Because" I smiled "Your worth it" I grabbed his hand and pulled him out.

He smiled "Am I now Beaver?" He joked.

"Yes Ferret now c'mon, we are going to be late" I bumped my arm into his and pulled him out.

"Mr.Malfoy... Miss Granger" Snape greeted us.

"Morning Professor" I smiled.

"Good Morning Professor" Draco waved to Snape's portrait.  

Once at the Great Hall we stopped by the door.

"Now, you are going to eat a good meal okay?" I demanded.

"Fine fine okay" He raised his hands in surrender.

"Now go" I pointed and he walked into the Great Hall, which I followed.

Draco went to the Slytherin table and sat by Balsie, one of the only 7th year Slytherins. I sat down by Ginny and across from Harry. Ron sat by him and Lavender. I didn't even look at them.

"Morning" I sighed.

"Good morning Mione!" Harry smiled.

"Where have you been all weekend? We haven't seen you once!" Ginny exclaimed.

"Sorry Gin, It's been a rough weekend... I got my meals from the kitchen..." I sighed glaring at Ron and Lavender.

Ginny noticed my glare and her eyes widened "C'mon Mione, I uh... Need to go to the bathroom" She exclaimed grabbing my arm and pulling me up.

"Ginny, love, may I ask why girls always go together?" Harry asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well... Uh..." She looked at me then to Harry "Well, Hermione went to the bathroom alone once and she was almost killed by a troll so..." She said like it was obvious.

Harry rolled his eyes "Fine... Look out for trolls!" He called after us.

We ran out of the Great Hall, and on the way my eyes met Draco's for a second. He had a good plate of food! I smiled at him as Ginny pulled me out. Once into the hall she stood with her hands on her hips.

"What happened?" She asked firmly.

"...Gin.." I sighed.

"Spill" She demanded.

"Fine... Dra- Malfoy and I were out on Night Shift... When we heard snogging from a abandon class room... We went in and it was Lavender Brown with Ronald..." I sighed deeply.

Ginny gaped her mouth and her eyes were as wide as saucers "HE CHEATED ON YOU?!" She screamed.

"Ginny!!! Keep it down!!!" I yelled at her.

"He cheated on you?!" She asked in a softer voice "And you didn't tell me?!"

"I'm sorry it was just hard..." I confessed.

"Oh Hermione I'm so sorry!" She said and hugged me.

"Yeah... Me too" I sighed again.

"Ugh! I'm gonna kill my brother!!!!" She yelled.

"We're over, I broke it off... It was for the best though" I nodded.

"So your okay?" She asked.

"Yeah... Draco has been nice... He's really changed, he actually comforted me" I confessed.

"Did you just call him... Draco?" She asked in utter shock.

"Yeah, we are on first name bases now Gin" I said softly.

"He's nice to you" She asked, still shocked.

"Yes Ginny, He is" I continued.

"Okay... But are we really talking about Malfoy here?" She asked.

"Yes Ginny" I said a little annoyed. "He was there for me when I was dealing with the breakup..."

"Okay... But if he hurts you I'll kill him the same way I'm gonna kill my brother" She threatened.

I laughed and she joined me.

"C'mon, I'm hungry" I joined arms with Ginny and we walked back into the Great Hall and sat down again.

"Any trolls?" Harry asked.

"Only one" I nodded.

"But we took it down" Ginny crossed her arms over her chest.

We all laughed.

"Oh and Ron..." Ginny said to Ron who was sitting with Lavender.

She took her wand out "Mucus ad Nauseum"  She said and Ron went running out of the Great Hall holding his nose that was flooding mucus covered bats.

"WON-WON!!!" Lavender screamed and followed him.

Ginny put her wand away and we all laughed.

"What can I say, queen of the Bat-Bogey Hex!" She laughed.

"All hail the mighty queen!" Harry exclaimed "Except... Why did you do that to Ron?" He asked.

"Um..." I sighed.

After telling Harry about what happened. He stayed expressionless until...

"WHAT??!" I yelled.

Pretty much the whole Great Hall looked at us. Draco looked at me worried, but I gave him reassuring eyes.

"Harry calm down... I'm fine now..." I explained.

"And you and Malfoy are friends now?!" He asked, baffled.

"Yes" I replied.

"Are you insane?! He's a Death Eater!"

"Harry stop... Please"

"Fine... But if he hurts you.."

"Yeah yeah yeah you'll hex him into obviation" I nodded.

"You got that right" He sighed.
