Rick returned from filling in the grave and we all stood around the cars waiting for someone to come up with another plan. No one willing to talk after the loss of two family members. It's like we've lost all hope to carry on.
"Washington." Rick announced.
"Rick. Washington's gone. Eugene lied. We've got no where to go." Briana replied.
"Michonne, Glenn and I talked about it. There's a reason you chose Washington." Rick turned to Eugene who was looking rather guilty. "It's one hundred miles away. It's a possibility. There's a chance there'll be a place. Where we can all be safe."
There was a moments silence where everyone looked at each other. "I think we should go." I interrupted the silence. I thought to myself, anywhere is better than being out here. Even if it is only the slight chance of somewhere to live.
One by one everyone agreed. Washington is the only suggestion we have. We don't really have anything else we can do.
Rick got into the seven seat car with Carl, Judith, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Gabriel and Carol with the rest of us splittig up into the the other van and car.
I climbed into the car with Daryl, Briana, Molly and Noah with Eugene, Tara, Rosita, Sasha and Abraham getting in the van. I decided to sit in the back seat along with Briana and Molly and let Noah sit up front with Daryl. He wasn't talking to anyone at the moment so I let him be. I've tried to be there but it's best to give him some space.
It wasn't too long before Rick stopped ahead of us. The rest of us stayed in the car as Daryl got out to check up on everyone. We watched as Rick, Carl with Judith, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Gabriel and Carol got out of the car with the little belongings we had and stood talking to one another.
I turned to look at Molly as she nudged my shoulder with hers. She had something in her hand. As I looked I recognised what it was. "I want you to have it." She went to hand me the knife. "I picked it up before we left. You were closer to her than I was."
"Molly I can't. It's not mine to take." I pushed it away.
Noah and Briana both looked at us as Molly forcefully handed me Beths knife. I wrapped my fingers around the handle and pulled it out of the cover. Tears filled my eyes but I did well to hold them back. I didn't deserve this. I placed the knife back in the cover as Daryl returned.
We all watched as Rick and the others climbed into the van and Daryl waited for them to start. Once they did we continued on our way down the road.
Daryl drove all through the night following the others in front. We were running low on water and I assumed the others were to but in the middle of the night I don't suppose we'd be searching any places any time soon. I know I wouldn't.
I woke up the next morning from a crash. I rubbed my eyes to see Daryl twisting the keys in the ignition and slamming his hands down on the wheel. Everyone else was still asleep in the car and the van was up the road. They'd also stopped.
I sat up slightly with Molly sleepimg on my shoulder, Briana with her head on the window and Noah sleeping in the front also with his head on the window. "We out?" I questiomed.
Daryl glanced back and nodded. "Yeah."
I looked up ahead to see Rick walking down towards us. Daryl opened the car door and stood against it as Rick approached. "You out?" He called over."
"Yeah." Daryl nodded again.
Daryl closed the door to the car and opened the boot to collect our bags. I slipped off my seat belt and opened my door. The fresh air felt good. "Molly. Briana. Noah." I shook each person individually.
