"Not one step closer ass hole." Glenn yelled.
The rustling continued and we all waited. Then we heard the growling which secured in our minds what it was and sure enough a walker stumbled out. Then another.
"I got 'em." Abraham placed his gun over his shoulder and pulled out his knife.
"We got 'em." Rosita followed.
The rest of us lowered our weapons as we moved away from the car. I walked over to the RV whilst the others looked around and searched the car. I placed my gun into my belt replacing it with my knife as I reached for the handle. Slowly I opened the door and stepped inside.
"Lily." I heard someone mutter as I walked in alone.
I looked around and there seemed to be no one inside. The RV was empty. "All clear." I called out to the others.
"All clear." Abraham repeated and stepped inside the RV with me.
Rosita then stepped inside along with Abraham and they both started going through the cupboards. I left them to it as I walked up front and sat down in the drivers seat.
I leaned over and opened the passenger side compartment as Rosita and Abraham started muttering. I didn't listen to what they were saying. I just wanted to get these vehicles back to the barn and prove to the others that this is worth a shot.
I closed the glove compartment as there were just old papers and a registration plate. Nothing that would be of use to us. As I closed it I looked up and noticed a visor just below a shelf. I opened it and to my surprise a set of keys fell and landed in my lap.
"Bingo." I picked them up and spun them around my finger so Abraham and Rosita could see. However there was one important question; does it work? I took the keys and put them in the ignition, turning them in the process. The engine just rattled. I tried again and this time the RV started up.
Abraham and Rosita both came up front after closing the door and we waited for the signal from Glenn, Maggie and Michonne that we were ready for the journey back. Glenn then put up his thumb and I released the break trying to remember how to drive. I turned us around to avoid having to move the debris from the road and followed the car.
It's been a while since I've driven a vehicle but I managed to follow Glenn back to the barn. Once there we were greeted by the others who were searching around in the woods. Rick probably sent them all out to make sure we weren't being hunted.
I pulled up outside and took the keys out of the ignition where everyone gathered. Glenn and Michonne informed everyone of our findings and we all then started to load up the cans of food that we'd taken from the Rv.
Rick then opened the doors with Judith in his arms as we carried the cans in and placed them down with the other supplies we had from Aarons pack. Rick didn't look to impressed but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get us to this community.
We all gathered on the one side of the barn as Carl bought in the last couple of cans. "This. This is ours now." Rick shook a can in Aarons direction.
"There's more than enough." Aaron nodded.
"It's ours. Whether or not we go to your camp." Rick confirmed.
"Wait. What do you mean? Why wouldn't we go?" Carl questioned.
"If he were lying or if he wanted to hurt us. But he isn't and he doesn't. We need this, so we're going. All of us, somebody say something if they feel differently." I answered Carls question but added my own spin onto why we should go.
"I don't know man. This barn smells like horse shit." Daryl added.
We all looked at Rick as he slowly accepted the fact that I wasn't going to back down. "Yeah. We're going." He turned to Aaron. "So where are we going? Where's your camp?"
