Dear Diary,

Things around Beacon Hills have been really weird lately. I'm not really sure what's going on with people, but I get the odd feeling that my friends....well, that Scott and Stiles are hiding something from everyone. Part of me really wants to question them but I'm not sure that would end well, or if they would even give me an answer for that matter.

Other than that, I found out that the guy I saw in that burnt down house back when we first moved here is Derek Hale. Though I admit that he's sort of cute, he's also really intimidating and was arrested for murder...or at least he was. I heard that he was let out because they discovered that an animal killed the girl and not him, but if he didn't do it then why was her body buried in his yard? I'm not stupid enough to believe that an animal was able to bury someone the way that girl had been buried.

Ugh. I really need to stop thinking about all this stuff and try to relax and have some fun. Maybe I should call Lydia and Allison and see if they wanna have a girls night or something..

I slammed my diary shut and let out a loud sigh of frustration as I leaned against the headboard of my bed. Why was I the only person that seemed to think that people were behaving oddly? Abby was usually a pretty observant person but even she seemed to be in her own world and was more busy with her friends or flirting with Stiles. Maybe I was just imagining things?No..I know I wasn't. I may not be great friends with Scott, but even I noticed how often he seemed to be running off for no reason and I'm pretty sure Stiles was aware of it as well.

I took a look at my clock and noticed that I had half an hour before school started, so I jammed my diary underneath my mattress and quickly got ready for school before finally heading out. I knew I was running a bit late so once my car was parked and turned off, I jumped out of my car and scurried up to the front doors, but something caught my eye. There in front of me was a school bus with multiple cops swarming around it. The back door looked as if it had been ripped off and blood was everywhere. My cell phone and back back dropped out of my hands as I stood there in shock and stared at the horror scene.

“You okay Beth?” I heard a female voice question me. I spun around on my heels and took a look at who had decidd to talk to me.

“W..what happened here Allison?” I answered with a question of my own.

“I'm not sure...I don't think anyone is because the cops aren't really saying anything.” she replied back to me.

“I think I'm just gonna go h..home. If anyone asks, just tell them I wasn't feeling well.” I instructed her, hoping she'd understand. Thankfully she gave me a look that told me I could trust her.

I hopped back into my car and sped off in the opposite direction of the school. Music softly played from my radio as I concentrated on the road in front of me while lost in thought. The image of the mangled bus kept popping up in my head. Who or what could have done that? My thoughts instantly shifted over to Derek. He had originally been arrested for murder and then later released...could he have done this? For some reason I pulled over to the side of the road and got out of my car an began to walk, unsure of where my feet were taking me. I walked for what felt like a good twenty minuets before I finally brought myself to a stop, though not a place I would have liked to stop. I looked in front of me and gulped.

W..why did I come here of all places? This is the LAST place I need to be right now..do I have a death wish? I thought frantically as I stared at the burnt down house.

I desperately wanted to run away from this place before he appeared, yet my body stood still as if it refused to allow me to move. Fear spread through my body like wild fire before I finally started to walk back in the direction of car, but before I even took one step, his voice caught my attention.

“I thought I told you and your sister that this was private property. What are doing here?” I heard Derek announce. This was what I had wanted to avoid in the first place.

“I think you know why I'm here.” I replied, but I had no clue why I said what I said or what I had really meant by it. He looked at me a bit confused.

“What are yo--” he started to ask, but the voice of two more people barged in.

“Dude, Beth, what you doing here?!” A frantic Scott asked me. Stiles wasn't far behind him.

When did Scott and Stiles get here?

“I...I could ask you the same.” I shot back at him.

“We saw your car parked on the side of the road...we were worried.” Stiles chimed in. I was about to say something back but Derek beat me to it.

“How about you two get your little friend off my property.” he stated sternly. What was his problem?

“Stiles, can you make sure Beth gets back to her car safely?” I heard him ask his best friend. His gaze never fell off of Derek. Did they know each other?

Stiles grabbed a hold of my hand and started to lead me away from Derek and his little hide out, but from the corner of my eye I could see that he and Scott were having a heated discussion, but I couldn't really hear anything. Bummer.

“Beth, what the hell do you think you were doing?” a concerned Stiles asked me, but I wasn't sure how to really respond.

“I...I'm not really sure.” I answered blankly, but he didn't seem satisfied with that answer.

“Are you okay because you seem really out of it..” he stated while he looked me over for any signs of me not being okay.

“I'm perfectly fine, it's you and Scott that's not.” I stated bluntly. Stiles seemed to be taken aback by my comment.

“What are you even talking about?” he questioned me

“You and him seem to be acting really odd lately. I mean Scott tends to randomly run off as if his life depends on it a lot, and under weird circumstances. And you...you're always behind him with some vague or fake explanation as to why he did what he did.” I slowly began to explain to him. His jaw seemed to tighten.

“Beth, I--” he tried to say, but I cut him off

“Just save it Stiles. I'm not really in the mood for it right now because if you haven't noticed, a lot of people seem to be dying and I can't stop wondering about who's gonna be next.” I said as tears began to well up in my eyes.

After that, I got into my car and drove off towards my house. Right now there were too many things on my mind and my head felt like it was going to explode. I pulled up into the drive way and shut the car off as I turned to open the car door but noticed something in the distance.

What the hell is that?! I thought in a panic as I looked at what seemed to be red eyes. You know you need some serious sleep time when you start to hallucinate.
