[Erika's POV]
I saw people walking towards me... but I couldn't see who they were. There was a mist over their bodies. It appeared to be a man... a woman... and a young child. Mom? Dad? Tyler? I ran over and hugged them. I felt myself begin to cry. When I reached to hugged them, I felt nothing. It was like Harry Potter, or Ghost.
Erika: Mom, Dad, Tyler, what are you guys doing here?
Erika's Mom: We are here to clear things up. We know you don't know everything that happened... and we are here to explain.
Erika's Dad: I didn't leave for no reason. Me and your mother fought, and you often saw us, and would cry.
I tried to remember, and just like that, I did. I remember my dad would hit my mom, and threaten to kill her. They fought constantly. I remembered my dad left after a fight, and he promised he'd never come back.
Erika's Dad: Now do you remember? Good, because there is more. The man who killed your brother, and got killed in the accident, do you remember what he looked like?
Erika: He had brown hair, and grey eyes. He was muscular... He was you, wasn't he?
Erika's Dad: I'm sorry. I was drunk, and I planned on talking to your mother, but I wrecked. I didn't know I hit anybody, I never saw anyone.
Tyler: I'm proud of you Erika.
He was still a kid. He hugged me, but he only came up to my stomach.
Erika: Honey, talk to your friends about us. It's okay. Now, just wake up. Wake up.
I woke up to Landon rubbing my shoulder whispering wake up.
Landon: What's wrong? You're crying.
Erika: We have to talk. I remember everything!
Landon: What are you talking about?
Erika: About my dad, and my brother, and my mom. I remember everything.
Landon: Alright, want me to take us home?
Erika: Where is Joey and Sawyer?
Landon: Upstairs, want me to get them?
Erika: Uh, yeah.
Landon walked upstairs and brought down Joey and Sawyer.
Joey: Well, you finally stopped crying.
Landon: She wants to talk about last night.
Sawyer: Is it because of me? If it is, I'm so sorry!
Erika: No, it's me. I never told anyone, and it's dying to come out. When I was a young girl, my dad and mom constantly fought. He was a drunk, and that's why I don't drink. He often got very aggressive, and would end up in jail. One day they fought, and he swore he'd never come back. I saw the whole thing. I grew so close to my brother because he was the only person who really knew what I had gone through, because I was too. One day, about three years after we had moved to escape the memories, me and my brother were playing in the yard. My dad decided he wanted to come back. He was drunk, and couldn't control the car. He killed my brother, and himself. It was just me and my mom then. She was going through so much, and began to develop depression. When I was about eight, I met my first councilor. His name was Joel. I saw him everyday, and became my best friend. When my mom went to the hospital... the ninth floor... I lived with him in an apartment. After about three years, I started calling him mom. When I was fourteen, my mom was let out of the hospital, and I went back to live with her, but never stopped seeing Joel. For two years I thought things were finally looking up for once. I started a new school where I found the love for music, and couldn't be happier. One day, about mid semester, I left for school, and my mom gave me an extra long hug, a kiss, and a goodbye. I never thought that was the last goodbye I'd get from her. When I came home that day, she was dead on the floor. I quickly ran to Joel, panicking about what happened. She had her viewing, then her funeral. Only me and Joel showed up. He decided to take me back in, and legally adopted me. When I turned sixteen, he gave me his apartment, the one I stayed in for so long. I began to write down random songs I thought of during my "down days". I found YouTube, and began sharing my music there. To my surprise, people liked it. They thought it was so cool that I played the cello and upright bass instead of a guitar and bass guitar. I taught myself violin, viola, and even the harp. I was so happy. I always looked on the bright side, and never looked down. Sure, I may not have the best past, but it shaped me into the person I am today. I know how easily people can change your life. And you guys did. You helped me find the friends I never had, and I can't thank you enough.
By this time, Joey was bawling his eyes out, along with Landon. Sawyer being the macho man he was, only a few tears dripped down his cheek. I didn't know why they were crying, I mean, it's my past. Landon reached in for a hug, and squeezed me super tight. Joey and Sawyer joined in. Them crying made me cry.
Joey: Your life should be a Lifetime movie! Not that I watch those of anything... Ha.. huh.... We should go to breakfast!
Landon: Yeah, I am pretty hungry!
Sawyer: You guys go, I'll go check on your dogs Erika.
Erika: Okay, here is the key, please don't loose it.
Sawyer: I won't.
Joey: *in his grandfather voice* Now you youngins go get freshened up.
Erika: Haha, see you then!
Landon: Yeah, see you in a second.
