Chapter Forty: Drama

[Landon's POV]

I woke up and immediately got dressed up. I fixed my hair, and put a bow tie on. I searched our closet until I found Erika's whiter dress, then began to heat up her hair curling thing... I ran downstairs and made two breakfast salads, then ran back upstairs. I jumped on the bed and kept jumping up and down. Erika put her head under the pillow, and groaned.

Erika: Baaabe, what are you doing..?

She peaked her head out from under the pillow, then sat up. She look amazed, then stepped out of bed. 

Erika: What is going on..?

Landon: Get dressed, get some breakfast, then we've got to go!!

Erika: What..? Where..?

Landon: It's a surprise! 

She went into the bathroom, and did her daily makeup thing, then came down for breckfast.

Erika: You're really gonna eat in a tux..?

Landon: No, I'm too excited to eat!!

Erika: Then why is there two bowls..?

Landon: I was going to eat, but I can't! 

Erika: Calm down, babe.

Landon: I CAN'T!! We're gonna be late!!

Erika: Alright, let me put my dress on... 

She walked upstairs, then came back down in her white dress, and white wedges. God is she beautiful! I grabbed her hand, the got in our truck. We drove about a half an hour until we got to YouTube Space. I got out, and opened the door for Erika. I noticed Swyer, and he noticed me He kinda smiled, then ran inside. Erika totally forgot about the big YouTube red carpet even today! It's like the Emmies and the Grammies mixed together for YouTube. A huge crowd of people flooded around, hoping to see their favorite YouTubers. A group of people in bunny hats, and lion shirts rushed over to me and Erika. I grabbed her hand and rushed us inside. Our names were on a huge banner right above the table, along with Luke, Jason Munday, and Dave Days. We walked over and sat down. Erika leaned into me and whispered, "Why am I always the only girl in a group..?". I giggled, and gave her a kiss. An eruption of young girls screaming started. I swear, we aren't safe afound kids anymore. We sat there for about 2 hours until our category came up; "Best Couple". We were against Shane and Lisa, Matthew Lush and Nick, and Jim and Tanya. The announcer took a long breath, then announced second place was Matthew and Nick. Erika stood up and clapped, then sat back down. We were runnung against our friends now. Finally, he opened the card that had first place in it. 

Announcer: The winner of this award is.....  Shisa and Lerika! They had an even amount of votes, so you both get an award! I hugged Erika, then hugged Shane. In the meantime, I looked over at Erika and she was talking to Lisa, since she never really met her before. We all walked up to the podeiem together, Erika going first.

Erika: Before I get around to talking about Lerika, I just want to thank those who voted for Shisa. I know a lot of you Shane Dawson fans out there don't ship Shisa, but they love each other, they really do! They deserve this more than any couple I know! They've been together so long, and I'll admit it... I ship Shisa! Good job guys, you deserve it! Now as of Lerika, I have to thank you for all the support! I got a lot of hate at first, and I never understood why! After about six months, I realized people understand that I've fallen in love, and respect that Landon has also fallen in love. Thank you guys for coming along this crazy adventure with me and Landon, and I promise there will be many more! Now I'll shut up, and hand the mic to Shisa! 

We walked off the stage, and I could tell she was ready to cry. I put my arm around her, and gave her shoulder a small rub. When we got back to our table, Luke gave Erika some tissues, and she gently wiped her eyes, trying not to smudge her makeup. She deserved this after what had happened to her in the span of a few months. Suddenly, I got a call from our apartment owner. I excused myself, and rushed out.

*Phone Call*

Owner: Yes, is this one of the Austins..?

Landon: Yes, this is Landon Austin. Is there something wrong.

Owner: It appears we've had a break in in your apartment, and a few others near yours...

Landon: WHAT?!? WERE THEY CAUGHT?!?

Owner: No, as of now they are still on the run.

Landon: Was anything taken..?

Owner: Your... dogs...

Landon: We're moving out! And if you don't find our babies in a week, or even have a lead, you're going to be sued!

Owner: I understand...

I slammed my finger onto my phone, then ran inside. 

Landon: Erika, we've gotta go! NOW!

Erika: Landon... we're in the middle of something.

Landon: NOW!

I walked over to her, and helped her up. I rushed her out to the truck, then sped home. When we got there, the place was trashed worse that expected. Erika was frozen, a tear sliding down her face. Shortly after, Luke walked in. I wrapped Erika in a hug, when she suddenly jumped out of my arms, running to the puppy room. I heard her begin to bawl. I walked in slowly so see her on her knees, holing their collars, crying. I squatted down next to her, a tear slipping from my face. I wrapped my arm around her, bringing her close to my, giving her forehead a kiss. Luke squatted down nest to me, and patted my back, giving us tissues.

Landon: Are you okay, babe..?

She only looked up, and mouthed, my babies. I almost broke down. I knew I needed to be stong, so I just stood up, pulling her up next to me. She threw her head onto my chest, wrapping her arms around my neck. I put my arms tight around her waist, and rubbed her back. 

Luke: You guys can stay with me if you want...

I shook my head yes, then rested my head on hers.

Luke: I'll call and get a bed made. 

Suddenly I heard a suttle whimper. I let go of Erika, and sat her down. I ran upstairs. Another whimper cried out, and I finally found what was making the noise. Loki was hiding under the bed. He ran out and laid down by me. I picked his up, and brought him downstairs. His side was bleeding, and he needed a vet. I told Luke to stay with Erika, while I took him to the Pet Hospital a few blocks away. I rushed Loki there, while calling them telling them there was an emergency. I didn't care how stupid I sounded, this was my baby dying.When I got there he was barely hanging on. Sawyer was there with Hitch, and instantly looked worried. When they took Loki, I sat in a seat and tucked my face into my knees, and started shaking. Sawyer came and sat by me, patting me on the back. 

Sawyer: What happened, Landon..?

Landon: S- Someone b-b-broke into o-our house...

I was lucky I got those words out. Sawyer went up to the desk, and I could hear them talking, but I was too out of it to hear what they were saying. I heard Sawyer come up to me, and sit down beside me.

Sawyer: Nurse said you're better just going home...

Landon: NO! I'm staying here until I know he's okay.

Sawyer: That's why you should go... They lost vitals...

I couldn't control it anymore, I just began to bawl my eyes out. I just lost Ellie, now this... Everything seems to be going downhill. I got up, and drove myself home. When I walked into the house, I saw something I never expected to see....
