Chapter 29

I parked my car in the student parking lot. Before getting out of my car I saw Christian walking towards me.

"Emma what happened?"

I furrowed my eyes brows, what did he mean? What was he talking about?

"What do you mean what happened?" Confusion clearly written on my face.

I could see that Christians facial expressions softening, he looked almost sympathetic towards me.

"Tell me." He shook his head from side to side.

"I think you better see for yourself." He placed his hand in the small crease of my back, ushering me to move into the main building, walking towards my locker I saw a crowd around it.

I pushed people aside so that I could see what they were looking at so amusingly.

Slut.

Was written across my locker. I could feel tears building up in my eyes.

"Do I want to know who did this?" Christian whispered in my ear.

"I have a strong feeling you already know." I swallowed the lump that was building in my throat.

"Come on you can put your books in my locker." Christian gestured for me to follow him to his locker. "I'll get your books." He walked towards my locker first and opened it. He pulled out my books, and shut it closed.

The students still lingering around my locker starring and whispering. "Don't you all have something fucken better to do!" Christian yelled.

It kind of surprised me, Christian has never been the type to be confrontational. He walked ahead of me towards his locker, I followed behind him. His shoulders tightening, he was mad.

I had only witnessed Christian mad a handful of times, it never ended well.

Finally reaching his locker he opened it and shoved my books inside with a load thump, causing me to jump.

"What the fuck happened Emma?" He took off his hat and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I, I slept with Damien."

I didn't even want to look at Christian, I felt embarrassed. Ashamed. Come to think about it, Chase had all the right to be mad at me. I cheated on him. I two timed him. Not only once but multiple times. I was a horrible person.

"Fuck Emma, what now?" He gave me a sympathetic look.

"I don't know, I shrugged my shoulders. We have a month left till we leave for Christmas break; I just need to avoid him till then."

"Emma, he lives next door to you, he is in every single one of your classes."

"I know Christian; don't you think I know that. Don't you think I know that what I did was horrible, I deserve everything that he is doing to me and what he will do."

Tears finally escaped my eyes, the droplets of water sliding down my cheeks.

The bell started ringing, signaling everyone to head to their first period class.

I wiped away the stray tears, grabbed my calculous book said goodbye to Christian and made my way to my first period class.

As soon as I walked in, I sat in my usual seat. Chase still wasn't in his seat, but I knew he was at school since he did leave me that lovely message on my locker.
