New Beginning

"Can I have a moment with you Architect Galura?" Rhian asked me after the meeting.

Tumango lang ako pero hinabol ko muna at kinausap sandali si George bago sya tuluyang lumabas. May usapan kase kaming tutulungan nya kong maghanap ng condo after this meeting para sa pagtira ko pansamantala dito sa Pilipinas.

Pagkatapos ng pag uusap namin ni George, bumalik na ko kay Rhian na nakaupo pa din sa kabisera ng conference table.

"Akala ko buong araw mo kong paghihintayin dito. I don't have all day Architect. Gaano ba kaimportante ang diniscuss mo kay Engineer Wilson at hindi makapaghintay until we're done here?"

I look at her wide eyed. Bakit parang inis sya. Diba ako nga ang dapat na mainis dahil ako nga itong sinukahan nya kagabi?

I was about to say something when she speak again.

"Anyway, what do you mean by what you said awhile ago? And what are you doing here? This meeting is exclusively for Engineering Department employees only."

"As far as I know I am an employee of this company."

"Yes, but ... but I thought you're just here for the inauguration."

Kitang kita sa mukha nya ang kalituhan.

"That was my original plan but your sister asks me to stay for sometime para tingnan yung location ng hotel and resort na itatayo ng HGC sa Zambales."

"You and Nadine talked about that project? How come I didn't know about that?"

"Well, if you weren't so drunk last night baka narinig mong pinag uusapan namin yun kagabi." I can't help but be sarcastic.

"I am not drunk!" She said defensively.

"Really?" Nakataas ang isang kilay na tanong ko.

"Yes!" Naiinis nyang sagot.

I just shrugged my shoulders to what she says.
