Declan’s POV:

I woke the next morning in Micah’s bed feeling like I’d been reborn or something. It was like I a dream. Just a story I’d made up in my head. I felt like I’d been hit with a massive bout of fairy dust. That Tinkerbell and her friends were somewhere giggling themselves to death. Rolling over I slowly let my eyes focus on the sleeping guy next to me. He looked so peaceful and relaxed. I bet it’s been a while since he’s slept this good. I could tell that opening up to the world like he did not only freed himself of Katlin but freed himself of his insecurities.

“It’s not polite to stare.” He mumbled turning over and snuggling into the pillow.

“I wasn’t staring… I was admiring.” Cracking a lid open I watched as a smile tugged at his lips.

“Admiring you say? Well then by all means admire away.” He chuckled closing his eyes once again. I continue to lay there taking in every detail of him. When I let my eyes travel over his hair I blinked. Maybe I was seeing this wrong but was that a gray hair?

“Oh my GOD it is.” I whispered.

“What is?” He asked his eyes still closed. Reaching over I fingered the strand between my thumb and forefinger.

“A gray hair, Katlin gave you gray hair.” I swear I’d never seen him move so fast in my life. I watched him searching the mirror until he spotted the offensive gray hair. He went to pluck it out but I jumped from the bed and stopped him.

“If you pull it out three more will take its place. Besides I like a man with a bit of gray in his hair… it’ gives him more character.” I said. I could see him debating with himself whether or not to snatch the hair from his head. After a few minutes of arguing with himself he let it go.

“You better feel the same way after my whole head turns gray.” He said pouting a bit. Making it back to his bed he flopped across it.

“Stop being so dramatic its one gray hair. It’s not like anyone can see it.” I said going to his closet I pulled out a pair of boxers. Lifting his head he scowled at me.

“You saw it.” He muttered. Turning back I grinned.

“I’m supposed to see it. And the only reason I did see it was because I was like two inches from your face. I’d have to be blind not to see it.” Dropping his head back down to the mattress he lay there wallowing. After I managed to get a pair of his running shorts on Micah sat up and looked at me.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Looking around for some socks I paused.

“I’ve got to finish typing my senior presentation paper and if I know you and I’m pretty sure I do you haven’t even started yours. It’s a good thing they’re going by last names or you’d be screwed. I need to get home and finish that, put my power point presentation together. Go pay for my cap and gown. Pick up my clothes from the cleaners. Finish packing my suitcases because we are heading to Fiji and I need to get in contact with the housing authority for State because they hadn’t sent me my rooming assignments…” There was a Cheshire cat smile on Micah’s face when I mentioned the housing authority.

“Why do you look like that?” I asked. Standing from the bed Micah went to his desk and pulled out a large envelope. State’s emblem was etched across the front of it. Handing it to me Micah waited for me to open it and read the papers inside. I was reading it for the fourth time when Micah started to laugh.
