McClane’s POV:

“Let’s hear it for our State University graduates, Class of 2011!” Dean Qimby yelled into the microphone. The entire stadium exploded into cheers and screams. We’d finally did it. We made it to the end. As excited as I was about actually graduating I couldn’t stop my mind from venturing to other things… mainly that moment with Sean at the house. What in the hell was that? One minute I was helping him with his tie and the next minute I wanted to jump his bones. As I fought through the crowd to get to my parents I tried to push it aside and enjoy the moment. Kallum came out of nowhere and jumped on my back.

“We fucking did it man!” He yelled. I laughed at the glad happy smile on his face.

“We knew you’d graduate. It was me I was worried about.” I yelled back. Shaking his head Kallum draped his arm around my neck and continued to grin. When we broke through to my parents there was another round of cheers.

“I’m so proud of you McClane!” My mom cried clutching me to her. She’d been crying none stop since we’d left Declan’s graduation earlier. Wrapping my arms around her I hugged her hard. I felt an overwhelming sense of emotion right then. Yeah it was great having your dad around. Having him there to see your accomplishments was awesome but it never compared to having your mom there. Though Declan and I have been lucky to have both our parents I was especially thankful to have my mom. Though she doesn’t know it, she was inspiration. She was the reason why I crammed three thirty in the morning for mid-terms. She was the reason why I opted to stay at home the last three years instead of living in the dorms. I wanted to be near her. My mom will always be the first lady of my life.

“Thank you mommy.” Pulling back she smiled at me. I hadn’t called her mommy since I was five. Just hearing that caused a new batch of tears to overflow. Taking mom in his arms dad hugged her close.

“Proud of you boy.” Taking my dad’s outstretched hand I shook it. Behind him Declan and Megan appeared.

“Congratulations graduate!” They screamed in unison. Hugging them both I laughed at their silliness. The same way Declan’s been my younger brother, Megan’s been my younger sister. I hugged her a bit longer thanking her for all her help with Declan. When we pulled back she went straight into Kallum’s arms and hugged him. Maybe it was me but she seemed a bit too eager to get her arms around his neck. I looked around to everyone else but no one was paying her any attention. Next was Micah. He shook my hand and grinned at me.

“Congratulations man. I’m happy you made it.” He said. As he moved on to say his congratulations to Kallum I noticed something. Sean stood back a couple feet from where we were. Even though we were in a sea of people I could spot him anywhere. Was it crazy that I could sense where he was? I moved through the crowd until I was standing a foot away.

“Congratulations.” He said. Taking my hand he gave it a pathetic shake then let it go. Smirking I cocked my head to the side.

“Is that all I get? A lousy congratulations and a wimpy handshake.” Looking away Sean sighed. Inching closer I took hold of his tie.

“I think I did a damn good job.” I said giving the knot a little tug. I could see his face starting to redden as I played with the tie.

“Don’t you agree Sean?” Nodding Sean tried to keep his eyes on everything else except for on me.

“Sean?” Slowly his eyes moved back to mine the slowly down to my lips. I felt when his breathing hitched. We stood toe to toe my hand on his chest still playing with his tie, his eyes on my lips. It was then I heard Sasha calling my name from the right. Damn it. I didn’t want to talk to her. Taking a step back I broke the trance both Sean and I we’re under.

“We’ll talk later.” I said before leaving him there. I was in the middle of a hug from Sasha when I looked back to where I’d left Sean. Unfortunately for me he was already gone.

Vivian’s POV:

I was helping Laurie set up the graduation party when Ginger blew into the door. She was carrying a few grocery bags in her arms with a wide smile on her face.

“We are finally free bitches!!” She yelled from the kitchen door. Turning towards her Laurie took two of the bags and planted a wet kiss on her lips.

“And in a few more days we’ll be heading off to FIJI!!” Laurie yelled. They both started to dance around singing about the sand, surf and sun. I was giggling at them when someone else appeared in the door. She was a leggy blond with beautiful blue eyes. She stood there grinning at Ginger and Laurie as they danced around the kitchen.

“I swear I can’t go anywhere without my cousin embarrassing me.” She said. I went to her to take one of the bags when her eyes suddenly landed on me. It was like the blue slowly transitioned into slate gray and darkened.

“Hi.” She said a bit breathless. Smiling I reached out with my free arm and offered my hand.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Vivian.” I said still gazing into her eyes. Suddenly her lips blossomed into a smile and I felt like I was drowning.

“Rachelle.” She said. I’d had gotten a hold of myself enough to take my hand back and lead her into the kitchen. We'd started taking the food from the bags when she stopped and looked at me.

“I gotta ask before I get my hopes up and it turns out to be a bust…. Are you into women?” I didn’t know exactly how to answer that. I’d stop pulling the food from the bag to mull over her question. Before I knew it I was already talking without realizing it.

“I guess it depends on the woman. I’ve never personal had an experience with a woman but I’m not opposed to it.” Her eyes lightened a bit then she went back to the food. I don’t know what had gotten into me. I'm into McClane… aren’t I?

‘Of course you are. You’ve pined for the boy since you’d first saw him.’ My conscious said. As true as it was I couldn’t ignore the sudden attraction I had to Rachelle.

‘What if I’m like Laurie and Ginger? What if I’m bisexual?’ I thought. I was waiting for my conscious to have a snappy comeback ready but it didn’t. The thought of being bisexual wasn’t disgusting to me. In truth it sounded more appealing than anything. Having the choice of male or female was something that had been taken away from me when I was in Katlin’s circle. I had to abide by her rules and do as she said. Now that I’ve finally broken free of her I could do what I wanted. If I wanted to divide my time between men and women there was no one to say I couldn’t. I had control over what I wanted.

“So if I told you I wanted to get to know you…that would be okay?” She wanted to get to know me? Did I want to get to know her?

‘Um… yes… yes you do.’ I said to myself. Nodding I sent her a shy smile. She returned it then turned to Ginger and Laurie who’d still been dancing around the kitchen like crazies. After emptying the bags I started to set up the refreshment table outside. Though my mind was on my task I couldn’t stop thinking about what I’d just agreed to.

‘Don’t force yourself to do anything you’re not comfortable with.’ My conscious said. I agreed. I wouldn’t involve myself in nothing I didn’t think I could handle but to be honest. I’m quite sure I could handle getting to know Rachelle. If it didn’t work out romantically I’m sure we could stay friends. And having friends is always a good thing right? Where’s the harm in that?
