After we exchanged numbers, I told him I wouldn't mind driving him there, as I lead him to my car. Unlocking my little 2003 convertible chili red mini coop, that I so aptly named Zip, because he's a quick little speed demon.
"This is my baby, Zip." I said, blushing a little.
"I love the color, and she's a stick shift too?! She's beautiful!" he giggled.
"Yeah, he's pretty handsome, if you ask me." I laughed "Zip was my first car, and has gotten me through some pretty tough shit." I said as I turned the keys in the ignition, reving him up.
I completely forgot that I left my IPod plugged into the jack in my car, and Cryin' began to blast through my speakers. I actually forgot that Steven Tyler was sitting in my passenger seat, and got lost in the song, singing along. It finally hit me that I was truly hanging out with Steven, when I heard him singing along to his own song. I instantly paused the music, and became as red as my car. Steven looked at me and burst out laughing.
"Ahh, I took you for an Aerosmith fan! Why'd you pause it? You looked like you were having fun!" He said in between fits of giggling.
"I don't know, I guess I forgot you were in the car! Oh my god I'm so embarrassed!" I guess I found it funny because I started laughing too.
I played my IPod again, and this time, Love in An Elevator came on, and we both were laughing and singing, until we pulled up infront of the cafe.

I heard the farmiliar ding of the bells ontop of the door when we walked in.
"Hey Mia!" I heard Charlie's deep happy voice from behind the counter. "What'll it be today? The usual?"
"Hey Charlie! And, I'm not sure, I always love the lemon zinger, but I think I need to mellow out, it's been a stressfull day, so I'm gonna go with a big cup of Chamomile tea, with a little bit of honey and a lemon wedge!"
"Ahh, you got it honey! And your.... friend?" He hesitated, eyeing me suspiciously.
"Oh my god I'm sorry, I'm being rude, Charlie, this is Steven Tyl-"
"Oh my goodness, I'm such a big fan! I don't want to impose or anything, but do you think I could get a picture before you two leave today? Oh, oh oh! And I have a special room in the back if you two wanna be alone, you know, not being mobbed by fans and all!" He managed to choke out, all in one breathe.
Steven laughed "Don't worry about it, man! And I think I'll just go with a cup o' joe, and a chocolate chip cookie!"
As Charlie danced around behind the counter, getting our order ready, I took out my wallet, and began to count money for both me and Steven, when he stopped me.
"No, honey I got this don't worry, it's my treat! Steven said, very kindly.
"Oh no, please no. I hate when people pay for me. Let me take this one, I got it." I almost begged. I stopped when I noticed how whiney I was beginning to sound. This was so strange and new to me. I usually NEVER care what people think of me, but it was like something was drawing me to Steven. It felt as though someone had tied an invisible rope around my soul, connecting it to Steven. I was scared. I've never felt this way, and I'm honestly not sure if I want too. I've gone practically my whole life being independant, and not needing anyone or anything. I've always figured things out for myself, and tried to keep a distance from others, as I've witnessed painful relationships, and eventually.. experienced them.
We got our drinks, and found a small secluded table in a far back corner of the cafe, and sat down next to each other in the little booth.
"So.." Steven said to me, "Mia Lynn, I see you're an Aerosmith fan, you've got a wonderful fashion sense," he said, as I looked down at my boho-rocker chic kind of outfit, "and you like herbal teas."
"Ahh, Mr. Tyler, you're very observant" I began to flirt a little. 'Oh no... Mia, snap out of it, detatch yourself before it's too late' The voice in my head hissed.
"I guess I am," he grinned, clearly getting the hint. Oh no, what did I start... "So please, tell me more about yourself."
"Well, what would you like to know?" I paused for a moment, thinking about everything. I couldn't open up to him about everything that's happened before, or how I'm feeling. No. He'd think I'm a psycho. 'Shit, Mia, say something about work, or bartending, I don't know. Just answer him, quick, before he thinks you're retarted or something!' it said again. "Umm... I'm a bartender?" I half asked, half stated.
"Haha, umm, was that a question? Or a statement?" He laughed. He seemed a little nervous, which was actually really cute.
"A statement. I'm a bartender at this little bar down at the Five Points, right off of Gervais Ave. Part time, of course, my other job, as you've learned today, was a sales associate at PacSun." I giggled a little.
"So.. Steven, why don't you tell me all about yourself? I mean, theres got to be more too you, than all the glitz and glamour of being in a rock band." I thought that this would be the perfect time for a little interview to help me out with my paper.
"Well, I'm Steven Tyler, I'm 26 years old, and I was born and raised in Yonkers, New York. And actually, something that not very many people know about me, there is more to me than all the glitz and glamour. I'm actually a nature boy at heart, I spent every summer of my life up in New Hampshire, at Lake Sunapee. I still go up there every once in a while, to meditate, write lyrics, things like that...." As he continued to tell me all about himself, I couldn't help but to think that he was more perfect than I thought he was before. He meditates. He's into nature. Oh my god, this all seems so perfect.
I couldn't help what happened next. I stared directly into his eyes, and cupped his face and kissed him.
