It was the day before Thanksgiving, and Steven, James, and my father were all outside chopping wood, and talking about how Steven's career has been going. My mother and I were sitting inside curled up by in front of the tv with a couple of mugs of tea.

"So tell me, honey.." My mother started "Do you love him?"

I nearly choked on my tea because I totally wasn't expecting a question like that.

"Honestly Mom... I-" I paused. "I think I do. I've never so terrified of admitting it, but I am. I'm in love with him."

"Mia, please tell me it's for him and not for his fame or money.." She said

"MOM! No! Never! I really do love him for him. I wish I could describe it." I went on, "The feeling I got when we first met... It's like something was pulling us together. Like something was forcing us into each other's lives. It's crazy. I've never felt this way before."

My mother blushed

"My baby girl is in love." She gushed.

"I'll be right back, mom." I said as I got up and went to the bathroom.

As I was walking out of the bathroom, I heard Steven and my mother talking.

He must've come inside without me knowing. I didn't want to act like a spy, but on the other hand, I wanted to know what they were talking about, so I just stood still, listening.

"So Steven, can I ask you something?" My mother said

"Of course, Mrs. Parker, anything." Steven sounded wary

"How do you really feel about my daughter. I would like the truth too. I won't tell her anything you don't want her to know." My mother giggled.

MOM OH MY GOD! I wanted to scream, but I just bit my tounge and stayed put, because I actually wanted to know what he would say..

"To be very honest, I don't know how to describe it.. I think I'm honestly desperately in love with her. I'm scared. I've never fallen this hard for someone before." Steven sounded sincere. I wish I could see his face

"That's wonderful, Steven. She feels the same way. She really does love you, ya know." She sighed.

"She's truly beautiful. She's got a good head on her shoulders. She's gonna go places in life. I just know it. I'm proud of her, and her career hasn't even started yet." Steven gushed

"Do you know what she wants to do?" Mommy asked him,

"I believe she wants to go on to med school, and become a psychiatrist, but honestly, I believe she'd make it big in the music industry. She's got a phenominal voice. I wish she would let me get her a record deal." He sighed

"You've heard her sing? She's never even sang infront of me before." She gasped. "Wow, she just really love and trust you then."

I felt like that would be the perfect time to make my entrance.

Just then I walked back into the room, as Steven and my mother stared at me.

"Oh hey, Babe." I said to Steven. "Are you ready to meet my psychotic family tomorrow?" I giggled

"I'm ready for anything as long as I've got you." He laughed and then kissed me.
